Is training for a more feminine figure wrong in Islam?
This might be a weird question but I’ve genuinely been wondering about the Islamic perspective on it.
Is it wrong/sinful to work out specifically for aesthetic reasons — like wanting a smaller waist, a bigger bum, more curves, etc.?
I know exercise itself is encouraged in Islam and taking care of your body is important, but what about when the motivation is partly appearance-based rather than just health?
For example, a lot of women train glutes, core, waist, etc. specifically to shape their body. If the goal is to feel more confident, feminine, or attractive (rather than showing off publicly), is that considered vanity/tabarruj, or is it permissible?
