i love my cories so much. they have brought so much vibrancy and life to my tank, and they are so cute!!!!!!! in the light, their armor shines an iridescent green

i’ve had my female mystery snail shane for about 9 months and i love her to death (sometimes more than the fish)
however my betta occasionally nips at her antennae, to the point i’m considering moving her to a second tank. this is my absolute last case scenario as they do seem to “love” one another most of the time and live peacefully. my betta is not at all aggressive and doesn’t have conflicts with any other tank mates besides the nipping. i hate to see shane’s antennae so short 🙁
i’m also worried about the dark stripe on her shell. she previously had issues with shell heath but she has cuttlebone in the tank and gets a wide variety of foods with all the vitamins+protein she should need. her shell health has improved and it’s looking nice and healthy again, but the thin, dark stripe on her shell is still there. will it ever go away, or will her improved diet/calcium supplementation strengthen this area in addition to aiding new growth?
i love my fish so much it hurts so i wanted to give them an upgrade—10 gallons stocked with a betta, a mystery snail, 4 cory catfish and 4 ghost shrimp
i made sort of a “java mountain” out of the driftwood as i know javas aren’t meant to be planted in substrate, but will the plants still flourish attached to the wood? i also have a couple gold ribbon plants propped out of the water with their roots hanging in. the aquarium light barely hits them and i’m worried they aren’t getting enough light.
anyway i’d love some feedback or advice, i use fertilizer pods with extra iron for the red plants, in addition to co2 supplementation + seachem flourish excel
