Hello all, im a sophomore at community college and I'd was looking to get some information on whether or not this niche is still obtainable with a info sys degree.

Im looking forward to doing kaggle competitions and business Case comps. Im worried that because of ai only comp sci and data science will be compettitve for certain roles. I understand why theyd be more competitive for DA roles.

At the same time shouldn't ai equip me to help businesses find more insights?

How do I pursue a competitive portfolio?.

Somewhere in the intro to the class its said that the work needs a pc that can run windows.

But then later on it provides us with a virtual environment .

As long as we save our work to one drive it doesnt matter which one we use right?

Afternoon, starting cmsc140 and was just wondering if i should be uploading my work to my one drive folder or github.

For cmsc 140 I think im allowed to do both but iv been told that later classes require it to be uploaded to github.

Im not sure how to do it. I know my repository is suposed to be set to private but

It seems like the forever war is shifting from physical warfare to cybersecurity. Wouldn't this mean there is a greater demand for IT or cyber.

How big of a difference is there between Corporate IT and the kind that would protect America.

A lot of the conversations iv had online about the job market have been pretty negstive and while there is definetly some truth to them as iv done more research there seems to be a gap.

I live in maryland in the dmv which has a a lot of cyber,IT federal contracting stuff so that may be why I see a lot of job postings that mention information systems.

Im guessing that many of them are ghost postings and others probably seek more job experience but the current job market in the dmv looks very safe?

Im trying to figure out whether I should pursue IS. Im worried that when I graduate in 3 years I will be in a bad position.

Please feel free to agree or disagree

Thanks.

Is there a club for chuds?

I was wondering what course would be the easiest to double major with information systems.

I would appreciate it if anybody could let me know hoe many credits overlap aswell.

Thanks

Why does the website list some jobs as being in washington dc and others as fort meade. Iv been told that they both mean fort meade.

Why do white women claim that due to intersectionality its hard to quantify how privileged they are compared to other women or men from demographics that face more rascism and scrutiny.

Just curious how much did it cost everyone to attend for a year. Im at at community college right now.

Im guessing its 30k for the whole year.

Hi im currently deciding on what major to pursue and was wondering if there was anybody on this subreddit who is currently in or graduated from the stats program.

I jave a couple questions

How hard is the program and how decent would you say tutors are.

Have you found any success with things like co ops or internships.

Does the stats program have these opportunities built in or do you have to find them yourself?

What classes are you looking forward to or do you currently enjoy.

Are there any gaps in the curriculm in terms of what is taught.

How much time do you spend studying. Do you have time for personal projects.

Does it get easier. I understsnd that the classes get harder but they stack as in what you learn is used in future classes.

Thanks for all the help.
