Women of Reddit, what made you actually want to keep talking to a guy you had just met?

I've noticed that people always talk about first impressions, confidence, and appearance, but I'm curious about something more specific.

Women of Reddit, has there ever been a guy you had just met—online or in real life—and something about the conversation made you genuinely want to keep talking to him?

What did he do differently? Was it his sense of humor, confidence, curiosity, kindness, or something completely unexpected?

I'd love to hear real stories rather than general advice. I think a lot of guys could learn from what actually works instead of relying on stereotypes.

Why does it feel like women my age prefer older guys?

I'm 23, and this is something I've been wondering about lately.

Why does it seem like women around my age are usually more interested in older men? At the same time, women who are just 1–2 years younger often seem more attractive to me and even feel like a completely different generation.

The weird part is that if you're 23 and talk to a 21-year-old, some people react as if there's something wrong with it, even though it's only a two-year age gap and both people are adults.

Is this just confirmation bias on my part, or is there actually a social or psychological reason behind it?

I'm genuinely curious to hear other people's experiences and opinions. Please keep the discussion respectful and avoid generalizing.

Does anyone else miss having genuinely close online friends?

I miss the days when online friendships actually felt real.

Talking every day, sending random photos of what you're doing, sharing memes, recommending music, even sending pictures of places you visit just because you thought your friend would like them.

It feels like a lot of conversations today end after a few messages.

If you're looking for a genuine friendship and don't mind putting effort into it, I'd love to meet new people
