People who call others “larpers” or “posers” are way more pathetic than the people they are trying to make fun of.

While I have yet to be called a larper as of yet I constantly see it online and it’s one of the most pathetic thing I have ever seen.

This stupid desire some people have to make their interests and hobbies prestigious and an earned thing is ridiculously stupid. People can enjoy things however they want and at whatever level they want, there is no shame in only being somewhat interested in something.

To me at least it comes off as people who have little else going on in their lives and so try to make their pointless hobbies seem as if they have any real world weight and deserve respect.

If you are genuinely upset that someone isn’t as obsessed with some piece of media as you, get a job.

(Edit. I realise there is some confusion around what ima actually talking about. I’m referring tot he modern shoehorned definition of the word larper which is when someone supposedly pretends to be more into a piece of media then they actually are. I apologise for the confusion I should’ve thought about the other definition.

Is a BSOD normal?

I’ve never had a bsod in my life and my pc has never had an issue with them. For the first time though while playing prototype 1 the game froze and I got a blue screen.

It said “clock_watchdog_timeout” I’ve got no idea what it means but the percentage for the restart got stuck at 80 so I had to hard reset my computer. After that it’s been fine, I ran a memory diagnostic and there were no issues, I ran a quick virus scan and there was nothing, I really do t know what the problem was.

My pc updated tot he lates windows 10 update today though, has that been causing problems for people? Are BSOD’s normal sometimes? I checked temperatures my computer restarted and there was nothing weird about them. I know they would’ve cooled a bit but they usually keep residual heat for a while which usually give me a clue if something is wrong.

Is it a bad idea to switch from 3rd person to 1st person if at a big change in the story?

So to properly explain I’m splitting my book into three sort of “arcs” as I intend it to be foundational as I want to make a series hopefully. I’m doing very well with the first arc which is 3rd person but the second arc I want to be first person from a different characters perspective. I plan it to be a sort of logbook where a soldier is actively writing down his thoughts and experiences over the course of an event that is largely the catalyst for the rest of the story.

I really like the idea and it would allow me to pull of some ideas for it that I really want to do such as how the event effects him and how people see his writings.

I’m just worried about it causing a shock and being jarring so I wanted to know what others though if it.
