Genuinely, why do I sing better on opioids?
Probably a different post this community is used to seeing but I recently had surgery and I got all the time for a month to make music. They put me on oxys for pain. Usually when singing I have the most trouble with breath control because of the way I am with anxiety and overthinking. It’s like oxys completely fix that for me. It just makes no sense to me because oxys are for pain not for anxiety.
But I also hate that I can sing better while on an opioid because I don’t want to be a good singer on a drug. I want to be good at it naturally, it’s just the anxiety takes over my breath sometimes.
