Even if you traveled back in time and told me exactly one year ago that I'd be crossing 200k damage in a year, I would've called you delusional and kept farming.

Back then, I was very much happy with my C0R1 Mavuika(No Citlali) team back then which barely crosses 100k on the dummy.

Then I was pulling for Neuvillette's weapon... and somehow lost the 50/50 to Zibai's signature. Pairing her with C2 Illuga, my damage jumped to 125–128k. That became my personal record for the longest time.

I remember thinking: "Alright, if I get Linnea, maybe she'll push this team to 140k+. That's probably as good as it gets for me."

Man, was I wrong.

I had no idea Illuga would share the banner with Linnea. Long story short — while going for C6 Illuga, pulled two copies of Linnea but he still wasn't C6(I needed his last copy).

With only 3 days left on the banner, I was completely broke. I scraped together every last primogem, did some desperate exploration, and managed to scrape exactly 10 pulls.

I threw them in... and on the very last one, I got his final copy and completed C6 Illuga 😭

The difference is actually insane.

With just C1 Linnea, my Zibai team was already hitting 180–188k. Now with full C6 Illuga + the extra Linnea investment... we finally broke 200k.

TLDR: From "100k is pretty good" to "200k is my new normal" in one year. The powercreep is real, the gacha pain was real, but the satisfaction? Even more real.

I’m a fresh CS graduate from South Asia, aiming to become a self-taught Data Analyst by the end of this year.

Quick Background:

So far, I’ve learned Excel and SQL, and completed 2–3 small guided projects to build familiarity. Seeing how valuable SQL is in this field, I also created a GitHub repository where I document my solved SQL problems (86+) from platforms like LeetCode, StrataScratch, DataLemur, and HackerRank. (I’ve completed all HackerRank SQL problems except the “15 Days of SQL” challenge because the editor doesn’t support window functions.)

I’d estimate my SQL skills are around an intermediate level, but I might be wrong since I don’t yet have real-world experience.

Over the past month, I’ve been learning Power BI and am currently practicing and getting comfortable with common DAX functions. This roughly summarizes what I’ve been doing over the last ~6 months.

Now for my questions:

  1. I’m planning to dive into Python next (I have some prior experience from university, so it’s not entirely new). After that, I want to learn libraries like NumPy and Pandas, and eventually work on projects involving A/B testing, hypothesis testing, and forecasting. My goal is to stand out, especially since I don’t have work experience yet. However, after browsing several Data Analytics subreddits, I’ve seen people say Python isn’t really necessary for DA roles, especially for juniors. Is that actually true?

  2. I also want to include at least one cloud-related tool on my resume. I was considering learning Databricks and building a portfolio project around it. Would you recommend this approach?

Thanks in advance for your insights.

Basically the title. I started playing the game right after its launch but had to step away due to not having a proper squad and solo extraction was kind of difficult + boring. Now I'm thinking of giving it another try.

If you have a Discord group, an open squad spot, or just a few reliable teammates, let’s squad up!

About me:

  • I'm mostly a casual player but can turn competitive when the situation heats up
  • Decent FPS experience from mobile titles
  • Playing on iPad
