Wanted to start a discussion about how extension maintain their code and uniqueness as a business.
Im thinking because your extensions code is visible to anyone who downloads the extension, extensions that genuinely want to turn into a business should have some level of business logic in a seperate backend system otherwise it can just be copied right?
What does everyone think?

Quick question, it looks like extensionpay enables payments for extensions with the ui in the extension.
I thought this was against Google's policies.
I thought we had to create an external website to handle the payment capturing stuff.
Is this understanding incorrect?

I've made a chrome extension to help people manage their tabs and I'd like to get advice on how to go about paid marketing.
(I won't be mentioning the extension as this is purely to learn about the marketing side of things for me).
I'm not sure what information will help you understand my situation better so I'll just put what could be relevant -
I've never tried or looked into marketing so I'm a total beginner.
My chrome extension is new and free currently but I'm working on implementing a payment system for subscriptions. Once implemented, i want to have a freemium business model where I'll offer a 1 month free trial.
I set a budget of $2000 for marketing.
What channel/s should I go with?
What type?
What kind of results like a click through ratio is average if there is such a number?
