How do you feel about asking to use the bathroom on a sales call?
I work at the front desk at a trucking company and there have been several sales representatives from various places who have come in to try and make a sale or introduce themselves for future sales you know the usual gig. I’ve noticed that many of them have asked to use the bathroom. I never thought anything of it until a coworker of mine exclaimed that that is really tacky and kind of rude. That had me wondering if there’s something to that? Many times the sales people will come in and ask to meet with my boss, which obviously the answer is going to be no because my boss does not like to be interrupted to talk about business that he wasn’t seeking prior. I’m always nice and I say that I will take their card and I give them my bosses email, even though he’s a boomer and never checks it. And then they asked to use the bathroom and I’m thinking like what I didn’t give you a good enough answer so now you’re going to go blow up our space? Lol. It’s not that deep but I’m curious.
