increased dose of fluoxetine from 40mg to 60mg with Bupropion, very jittery

Hi. I was on fluoxetine at 60mg a couple of months back (for anxiety) and it was helping but making me extremely tired and apathetic. I went back down to 40mg and then, when that didn't work, my psych added 150mg of Bupropion. On his advice I've increased the dose of fluoxetine to 60mg again. I am at the end of the second week of the dose increase and have been jittery all of last week. The symptoms are much more noticeable than previously. Guess I'm looking for some reassurance/hope that this will settle over time

I'm terrified of interacting with people as I'm worried they will see how nervous I am and judge me poorly.

My psych suggested that a lot of people want to interact with me because they like me (which I know is true but doesn't help - in fact it 'raises the stakes' as I'm then worried about losing that good impression I have with them. I know the answer is not to care but I simply can't. The fear overrides the rational. Has anyone who has experienced this found a way of resolving it for themselves?

Anyone not have this start working until week four or later?

I'm at the end of week 3 (also take fluoxetine). In the first week I noticed an improvement in my mood, that then faded and have just felt jittery since. I'm going to persist till at least the six week mark but starting to feel like this isn;t going to work for me (and a bit gutted).

Looking for reassurance - two week mark

I've tried multiple SSRIs and SNRIs for my social anxiety and panic disorder and nothing has really done 'enough' ever. I'm currently taking fluoxetine and my psych has added 150mg of bupropion as well.

I'm at the end of week 2. Week 1 I had a few times during the first couple of days where I felt genuinely lifted and happy in a way I haven't in years. I was also jittery with elevated heart rate.

Over the last week however the happy feeling faded but the jitteriness has remained.

I know full benefits are unlikely before four weeks but looking for some hope as I'm starting to despair (especially after those first few days where I felt like 'at last, something that makes a noticeable difference'.)

Just added Bupropion - need encouragement

I’m on 40mg of fluoxetine for anxiety. I have tried lots of other SSRIs and none of them, including fluoxetine really seem to do enough. My psych has just added 150mg of bupropion to target dopamine. It’s day three and I’m very jittery and rapid heartbeat. I know this is the case when starting this med but hoping it calms down as my body gets used to it. Any success stories of adding in bupropion to your fluoxetine?

Late diagnosed and struggling to believe how I experience social interactions is not how everyone does.

I spend so much of my "bandwidth" in social interactions not focussing on the discussion organically but, instead, monitoring my body language, their facial cues, how much eye contact to make, what to say next and evaluating how the conversation is going. I have social anxiety as well but understand now this is a form of masking and that social interaction is not a natural (or, to be honest, pleasurable, thing for me). I still struggle though with the idea that this is not what is happening for everyone. It's a revelation but one I find myself doubting. Do others experience this and have any good 'hacks' to make it easier?

success stories with Bupropion and Fluoxetine?

My psychiatrist has suggested adding in Bupropion alongside the fluoxetine I'm taking. I have social anxiety, panic (and fear of panicking) and OCD. Just wondering if anyone has had any success with this combination.

Dose too high?

I've been on 60mg for about twelve weeks (maybe longer). The last two weeks I've felt very tired all the time (it could be unrelated to the meds but the tiredness has a "sedative" type feel to it), also exercise (a light walk) leaves me sore and exhausted. I also feel kind of jittery and agitated, again this sort of started in the last couple of weeks. I'm wondering if it's the dosage reaching its full effect and that it might be too high? I'll obviously talk to my psychiatrist about it but keen for others' thoughts/experiences!

Am I kidding myself thinking there is any med that is the ‘right’ one?

I’m currently on 60mg of fluoxetine. I was on lexapro for years before deciding it just wasn’t working ‘enough’. I have tried venlafexine and desvenlafexine and they made me agitated. My psych suggested fluxotine and said ‘it might be better. Worse case scernaio is it just won’t be any better but not worse.’ Having been on it for twelve weeks I’m in the latter camp. Don’t feel like trying another antidepressants though will help.

Adding Wellbutrin (bupropion) for anxiety?

I'm on 60mg of prozac (about nine weeks) and it's helped with my anxiety but not as much as I had hoped. I also feel flat and very tired. My psychiatrist suggested perhaps reducing to 40mg of prozac and a small dose of Wellbutrin (bupropion) which he said could help with dopamine/mood. Anyone found that to help? I struggle with social anxiety and panic discorder and am worried about it being 'activating'. As it is I have stopped drinking coffee to reduce feeling on edge and jittery.
