How are CHY113 labs?

Taking 113 for the first time this summer, orientation is tmr and honestly I’m a bit afraid I’m not ready, but I’d like to know how people who completed the labs found them, if time was ok, any labs that stood out in difficulty, etc

I’d prefer it if people who done it recently answered, but any input is appreciated

What’s everyone up to this summer? How are you finding the weather?

Been taking bunch of summer courses, not much going on otherwise on my end, campus is more active than I expected, idk why I thought it’d be completely dead, it’s still quieter though and that’s nice

Weather has been really all over the place tho, today finally feels like summer tho I prefer a more spring-like weather, too bad it was short lasting, I feel like we’ve been getting rain and cloudy skies more than anything recently

Which do I watch first: 86 or JJK

Currently deciding between those two since I want to watch more shounen/seinen

I know this list is kinda random, this is just top 27

Im seriously about to crash out, im taking physics I (CPCS120) and modern mathematics I (CMTH131) this spring and want to take either stats and probs I (CMTH380) or physics II (CPCS130) this summer, both of these courses use one of previous courses as a prereq

CMTH380 and CMTH131 have a 4 day overlap, I emailed Chang, they sent me over to the course coordinator and I was like ok fine I’ll wait on that (5 days and counting, prob not getting a response) and I guess it makes sense ain’t no way I’m being let through with a 4 day overlap

But physics II and physics I have an 8 day gap, 5 business day gap before the start and finish…and I still can’t put that request through servicehub

I was wondering, when are report cards typically ready for spring/summer? And has anyone had this issue before?

Before anyone asks my options are super limited as to why I can take in the fall and winter, as I’m not a science student

Binged this one today and I was so disappointed I hadn’t stumbled upon it already back when it came out, it’s seriously SO underrated and did for me what I hoped many others would’ve done but didn’t

It’s basically about this girl who liked her childhood friend since elementary school and after being separated in middle school she gets closer to him again in high school and is trying to figure out her feelings for him and telling him and all!! Obviously there’s a lot more to it, things you’d find in your typical shoujo I guess but this was is so so SO sweet (you can also look at the MAL summary it does the job)

Both the female and male main characters are kind, sweet people but they really do have that twist that makes them unique in their own way, I LOVE the main couple’s dynamic and I love how they change each other and grow as a result of one another in the most positive ways possible

I love how cute the high school romance aspect is, and I also really like the representation they put in when they made the female main character have a “taller and bigger build than typical” in girls, because some aspects of that I definitely found super relatable

I probably didn’t give the best explanation, but I’d recommend the first 3 episodes, if you don’t like it then the show might not be for you, though to be honest this one was sold for me since the first episode

One last thing I’d like to add is that I really loved the finale in this one, usually the finale in shoujo animes feel very formulaic and end up giving me nothing to work with emotionally..actually in general i just end up liking the beginning wayyy more than the end, this one is a huge exception though, was literally at the edge of my seat in the final two episodes

Also I read the manga chapters of the finale afterwards and the anime imo did a way better job at making me actually internalize the moment

TL;DR: refreshing, cute, super wholesome, great ED, amazing visuals, adorable mid-ep animations

As the title says, what’s the appeal with live triangles? If they’re your thing I’m fine with that, keep in mind that what I’ll say below is just my opinion, I just want to hear others’ thoughts

I used to enjoy love triangles when I was younger, they felt exciting, added more tension, and often times in the media I consumed at least we’d usually have a reason to believe the second male lead/female lead doesn’t deserve the fmc/mmc for whatever reason but even if he did we end up witnessing the strength of the leads as they come back to one another despite all the hurdles (potentially)

But over time…I started reading more and more romance and it just became such a repeatable trope, ESPECIALLY in webtoons, especially with two guys fighting over one girl (not naming any webtoons but I’m there are some very very popular examples)

And it always ends up with being either the second male lead suffering or both the male leads suffering as a result of it. It’s one thing when the love rival is temporary, but when the second male lead is say someone the fmc knew for years or someone the fmc accidentally lead on or maybe even dated it’s a whoooole other thing, I just end up feeling bad for the second male lead, heck, I just wish he and the female lead go back together

I don’t see how this helps convince the readers that the female lead should be with the male lead…specifically when the story seems to want us to think otherwise, like if the second male lead is obsessed with her, willing to offer her anything, has a better personality than the male lead, etc etc, then what’s the point??? It just makes me think the female lead is stupid more than anything to get with the male lead and ruins any chemistry they had together before the second male lead came into the picture

Speaking of coming into the picture, if both male leads were there all along maybe it’d read better, we’d see justification towards both ways and hopefully at some point the author shows us why the endgame couple is convincing

But anyways, then it just turns into this thing where we think the fmc will get with the 2ml and then she does sometimes??? But then that’s not how it’s meant to stay but while all that is happening the ml is going through his own thing and if not the 2ml just does everything for the fmc and goes crazy for her and we watch him suffer?? Like that’s just so sad (in a non touching way)

I just..idk i can’t fully get behind it, I don’t mind seeing it once in a while, but every dang webtoon I read??? Why is it such a common trope? At this point it feels like a lazy plot point to just keep the story moving along, maybe it’s a me thing since I’m consumed way too much of this I’m not sure

As opinionated as I sound, I’m actually pretty open minded to hearing others’ thoughts and truly don’t mind if anyone disagrees
