Every single old-bordered Legend in Foil, from Urza's Saga to Scourge, COMPLETE!!!

For a while, I've been posting bits and pieces of my foils for a little project I've been working on: every foil legendary creature printed between 1998 and 2003. I chose this time frame specifically for the old frame being prevalent at the time, and it was a dream I wanted to achieve since I was a poor kid.

After 4 and a half years, it's done. Every single old-border legendary creature ever printed from Urza’s Saga (1998) up until Scourge (2003), in FOIL. There are 65 total unique Legends in this time frame, with two of them (Tahngarth and Ertai) having alternate arts.

[A quick FAQ]

>Why did you do this?

I started Magic in the Invasion block, and my first pack was from Invasion containing a Treva. While that particular card wasn’t foil, it was always my dream to own a foil copy one day.
I eventually built a EDH deck that was Bant Enchantress. Even though it was already supported and having its own precon, I stuck with Treva for sentimental reasons. Fast forward, I eventually got both a foil copy AND and the DCI Promo along with it.

It was there that everything snowballed into what it is today.

>How much did you pay for all of this?

That depends on your definition of “pay”. I gave myself a stipulation: only trade up. Most of the bulk I’ve garnered over the years, stacks and stacks of them, turned into most of what you see. The only time I broke this rule was with Akroma that I bought from tcgplayer for, at the time, 130 USD, purely as a birthday present to myself.

The Rith was also an actual purchase. See below for reasoning.

>What was the worst card to find?

The Squee and the Rofellos and it’s not even close.

>Did you find any good deals?

The Rith is MP, but it was listed in a very generous 5 USD. I do plan on upgrading this one in particular, but it looks good enough to be with the rest.

>Why isn’t Skyship Weatherlight on here despite having both copies of Tahngarth and Ertai?

Not a Legendary Creature. I do plan on picking up both foil copies at some point, but priorities dictate this first.

>Whats your next project?

Right now I’m foiling out a couple of personal EDH decks. I do plan on collecting every single legend from Legends to Urza’s Saga again (Barrin, Master Wizard, as far as I know, was not printed as a foil.) and getting every version of each available legend within that area.

>Do you run any of them as a Commander EDH deck?

Yes. Treva, Commander Eesha, Arcanis, Phage, Kamahl (red), Multani, Cromat, and Karn are all built and ready to go. Chainer is also going to be built as a “old border only” deck, and all of the other Primeval Dragons have their decklists ready and planned out.

>Can I buy one of the cards from this list?

You're buying the entire damn set if you want a single card from this pile.

FREE HIM, YOU COWARDS.

Once again, the foil legend collection grows, this time with this jabroni.

And while I'm glad all of the "expensive milestones" are done, jeez this guy has the quite the tag.

One of my holy grails: literally Squee.

One of the most iconic characters in Magic, and the token comic relief in lore. This guy has been on my sight for years, and he'll certainly be used in a deck for the Weatherlight crew.

Thank you for everything, Ron.

Found this

It appears to be a Morgan 1880 Silver dollar-O. It came with the clip attached to it.

I did not attempt to tamper with it in any way and left it as is. Is the clip significant enough or just an add-in from its original owner?

Apple Joya

Review:

It's exquisite. One of the best sodas I've ever had to pleasure of drinking. Its not too sweet, has a lot of flavor, and surprisingly refreshing. Doesnt have that "artificial sugary apple" taste.

I remember having this brand of soda as a kid when I went on a trip to Mexico for a church event, but never had this particular flavor.

Kuja Vs. Black Waltz

I've more or less decided on a Rakdos-styled spellslinger deck, and given that the Final Fantasy set is closing in on its 1-year anniversary, I want to weigh in my options with the two: [[Kuja, Genome Sorcerer]] and [[Black Waltz No.3]]

On the surface, these two seem similar in concept but each have a different ceiling.

I do want to go with a Storm approach with multiple instants and sorceries that cantrip or draw cards, which leads me to think BW3 would be more applicable. But I want to ask any players of the two if either one can suit that role.

For what it matters, I'm aiming for either B3 or B4. No budget constraints.

Edit: tons of great answers here. I'm definately leaning towards Kuja.
