Oh, this could get ugly. This could be on the level of the Phillipines vs ABS-CBN. Although, as I keep saying, I have my doubts that the FCC are willing to walk away from all that money.

A lot of this is just genuine hate towards Fox Sports, by the way. But this commercial, in particular...yeah no. If the USA wins the cup, I can tell you that nobody is going to act like this. Especially not under this administration. (The most passionate fans on this soil right now are the foreign tourists, actually!)

Also, my god, why did you use Elvis? I mean, the man is a legend for a reason, but his rendition of "The Impossible Dream" is just SO full of ham. Like a lot of his music in the last decade and a half of his life. If they used a rendition that didn't suck, like Jim Nabors' (my fav rendition, btw) then I'd like it a bit more...but noooo. Elvis it is. (Of course, Fox Sports could've connected it to the Indy 500, which they have the rights to, since Jim Nabors is forever linked to that event via Back Home Again in Indiana. But that would assume they had creative people behind the scenes instead of them just dragging the corpse of Chris Meyers everywhere, GOD I HATE FOX SPORTS.)

I have a lot of respect for the World Cup, but my god I want it to be over.
