Holy hell am I lucky. Was placed 650th in line and was able to snag three tickets for myself, my wife and my good buddy. With all the insanity happening today getting these tickets I am thanking my lucky stars I was actually able to get tickets. Who else in Oakland got lucky?
Not seeing much love for this song but this might be my #2 or #3 on the album, behind Haircut and maybe tied with Dan. Love this song. So much behind it and the emotions displayed feel very visceral. Anyone else?
Just picked up the 990V6’s after going to a store yesterday to try them on. Wow - I can immediately see why everyone raves about the comfort. I had been an Allbirds guy for awhile (I live in SF - fell for the hype) but as their quality has continued to dive I had been searching for awhile for my new sneakers.
After countless reviews, Reddit threads, etc I ventured out to try New Balance and I’m already a huge fan. Excited to really put these shoes through their paces!
I saw Interstellar in theaters when it first came out in 2014. I don’t know why, but back then I walked away thinking the movie was just good but wasn’t blown away like most people.
Well fast forward to last night and we decided to pop in the 4k DVD so my wife could watch it for the first time. Maybe I wasn’t paying enough attention in the first watch, maybe it’s because I was a pothead back then and was most certainly high my first time seeing and didn’t grasp the full weight of the movie - I don’t really know.
What I do know is watching yesterday flipped a switch completely for me. I couldn’t help but feel the immense weight and sadness of the story, the incredible stakes, the score, the visual effects so strongly and walked away wondering how I could have missed just how amazing this film is on my first watch.
All I will say is I’m thankful for the second watch - this film is now up there in my top films of all time.
