Hello,

The completion was originally scheduled for Friday however it has now been delayed until tomorrow, which is Tuesday. The balance was sent on Friday and the mortgage also deposited on Friday.

The reason given is a delayed the Licence to Assign.

Should I be worried? Is this common with shared ownership properties?

I’m in the final stages of buying a house near Gaydon, but I’ve spent most of the last 16 years living abroad, so I’m basically starting from scratch furniture-wise.

We’re looking for affordable short-term options while we recover from the financial hit of buying the house.

Things we’re currently looking for include:
Furniture (beds, sofa, dining table/chairs, etc.)
Appliances/electronics (fridge, TV, etc.)

Does anyone have recommendations for:
• Charity shops
• Second-hand furniture places
• Facebook groups/marketplaces

Delivery on weekends would be a massive bonus.
