Now I know where the emphasis on last hitting comes from...
I'm Spectre
I knew last hits are number1 priority, but I had no idea it's that much rewarding!
Me,with 5 kills(including firstblood)and 2 assists and 0 deaths have the exact same networth to Morph who's 0/1/0 just because he has 18 more last hits.
I definitely gonna stop endless chases in lane after seeing this😂
Why offlane feels so miserable lately?
Perhaps it's called offlane because you get the urge to off yourself after playing it?
80% of the time you're either trying to recover in jungle or cowering in the very edge of xp gain area like bruhhhh
When do you get Hydra breath on Ranged carries?
Well hurrican pike seems really needed when I play range heroes,I wonder in which situations you can get hydra breath instead and on which heroes.
What I'm supposed to do when teammates want to throw
reddit.comWhy do I play better when I yolo it and don't really think that much?
As simple as that.
I decided to play better,I don't have anything else to get better at in my life as we speak, call it what ever you want but I NEED to get better at something and that dota2 right now.
I'm at 3k MMR,about 3k hours played.Playing mainly pos1 but I used to mainn pos3.
For the past few weeks I'm trying to learn,to get better,I'm watching gameplays, videos seeking advice from more experienced players and etc.
Look, the numbers are better.GPM and XPM are better, deaths are way less,I'm constantly thinking about the state of the game, checking map checking their items but I lose these games more often currently.
But when I think, fuck it I do whatever the hell I want,I don't care about draft I don't care about timings,I eat with one hand and play with another and stuff like that I win more for some unknown reason.
I first picked Slark 3 matches in a row,I got counter picked TO THE ABYSS,guess what,I won all those games with insane lead.
I played another match today when I was pos5,decided its fun to play snapfire.
Am got mad after his very first death lvl1,opened mic and said some russian stuff and went juggling.I stood in lane, got kaya blink and shard and we just won 4v5 and belive me when I say this,I did not use my brain at all.I was like:See enemy click button.
Do you guys had similar experiences or know what is this or there is just something wrong with me?
When should a carry play more active from early game?
For context im 3k MMR
I watched a high rank spec gameplay today, the guy was playing with his team ALL THE TIME when his ult was on CD.
So i decided to do the same thing,I got urn of shadows, maxed out dagger and shadow step first and I was really doing well,we took T1 towers fast but then we just couldn't do the same to T2 towers.
They had Kotl and AA and dawnbraker and we just didn't have the power, then Lifestealer came out of jungle and just ran at people and we lost.
But my question isn't about this game specifically, I just wonder when and how should I decide to go full greed like midas radiance or play with my team and take
objectives.
I know it's diffrent with each hero so feel free to mention your mains and your approach to this matter.
Brawny jungle enchantment is just bad after Tier2?
I don't see why anyone should get it.
Tier 3 brawny gives you 190hp and 6 hp regen
Tier 3 Tough gives you 6 Armor and 12 damage
Tier3 mystical gives you 13% magic resist and some mana regen
Like why should someonw get brawny?
Armor and magic resist both give better EHP,mana regen is also good for a LOT of heroes and I dont see 6 hp regen that big of a deal at that stage of the game.
Some heroes like specre appreciate early hp regen, but after Tier1 there is no point in getting brawny anymore.
Seeing a Centaur get brawny for Tier3 enchantment vs Drow ranger and I wanted to know what you guys think.
Aghanim as first item on Slark.
I've seen a few high MMR games did this and I tried it
today.
Altough 1 match isn't enough data to go on but it felt really good tbh.
I was up againt Axe, Magnus,Faclessvoid, Pudge and Lion so I decided to have more mobility and stats early game so I skipped diffu blade and got aghanim then S&Y.
The stats and double pounce felt great early game so I wonder why this isn't more common?
How to go HG vs good hg defenders/rat or split pushers
I lost 4 games in past days to teams who have both sniper and drow as cores and I just can't figure out what to do.
Everyone say that choke the map and farm but they can also escale really good just sitting on top of there and shoot.
Also this one Match ID:8846835268
This is probably a huge skill issue since we were so strong but Idk why it came to us losing. Im spectre.
Another game where enemy had techies and weaver with 100% uptime sukuchi and we just couldn't go hg .
All these games we had a huge early lead but then we lost.
Lost a lot of games like these mentioned above,I know its quite common in my MMR bracket(3k) but I'm looking to improve this.
Offlaners, what should I do vs double ranged lanes.
Here is an example: 8841520937
I'm bristleback and I'm up against WW and Drow.
From the very first monent that I entered the lane they just...right clicked me.chase with that absurd amount of slows and I honestly have no clue what I'm supposed to do here.
Undying was late coming into the lane but I don't think it was the problem.
I've been told that I have to go behind the tower and drag the wave,I didn't try it here but I did it in similar situations and any pos5 with half a brain and Slows(goodluck doing this vs something like jackiro)will just chase you and either kills you or you go out with 10% hp.
I don't know man offlane used to be my main position but after learning pos1 anytime I touch offlane when party needs offlaner or I need to farm role queue I end up with a headache and massively tilted in such lanes.
I appreciate your help and share of experience.
How to become a better player?
2800 MMR playing pos3 and 1 for context
Well there some things that come to mind that are a bit straight forward right?
Don't play after loss streaks or have a positive mindset and don't flame etc etc.
Then there is boosting the numbers up.Get more last hits and things similar things which are easy to understand but hard to execute.
But I'm talking about a different section of the game which I believe it's called macro.Like when to do what, where to be at that time and similar stuff which I don't even know how to describe due to language barrier but you get what I mean.
How to make the right move when you don't know what move is right and wrong?
Why did I lost this match?
I'm Slark.
I think I was lacking farm and last hits, and that fight where I lost gem marked our end.
But then again I don't think items would have solved the problem....flights didn't even lasted long enough for me to gain stacks!SF just shitted out damage and it was over.
They were also really tanky, beside Rubic and WD all 3 of their cores become really hard to kill at some point.
For the love of god STOP picking sniper support.
Just finished 3rd game in 24h woth a sniper as a pos4 AND THIS HERO DOES NOTHING TO EVEN RESEMBLE A SUPPORT ANYMORE.
please gave some respect for yourself and others.
During laning, how do you know when to fight and when to farm?
reddit.comDuring laning, how do you know when to fight and when to farm?
For context, 3k MMR playing both 3&1 .
Eversince reddit told me to last hit more and better, and I'm doing really good in that regard.
The problem is that I'm loosing all lanes now.
My friend says I'm too passive, but then I try to trade but get shitted on.
For example today I was LS and my supp was jackiro and we were up against dawnbreaker and skywrath And their midlaner was Invoker so count in sunstrikes. My friend was insisting that I should've won that lane easily but the thing is that I just couldn't out trade!
Or today I had to lane vs Kez and undying,I was Timber and my supp was lion.
All undying did was put down tomb every 80 sec and we couldn't do anything about it,Too many slowes I couldn't even chain out and poor lion died to the light breeze of spring.
Sometimes as carry I come out of lane 1/0/1 for example with 60 last hits minute 10 and I count it as win but I look at mu supp who's 1/4/1 and realized we lost the lane even tho im in a good position.
I'd appreciate some links to some videos teaching laning or advices of experienced players.
Thank you
