Honestly I’m ready for ED1 but someone said they prioritise Emiratis

1540 SAT
IGs: 5 9s and 4 8s
Will graduate with 1 A level and 2 AS (which is why I sat the SAT), likely A*AA
Honours include international math competitions (UKMT, University of Waterloo) and department awards in school (broke school record) and girl of the year award (kind of like Head Girl) for many consecutive years. Prefect. MUN awards too (2x best chair)
Decent ECAs
House captain (5th year)
MUN head of executives + multiple awards (no international conference tho). Attended 8 or 9 conferences.
Yearbook deputy writer (3 years but not this year)
Duke of Edinburgh bronze
Event planner for senior committee (raised around $2600) for leavers dinner at end of the year

Carried out a survey (~110 responses) on IVF and embryo selection ethics, wrote an essay on the same topic which also outlines survey responses. Essay is unpublished but I’ll try publish it somewhere even if it’s just substack.

Joined my school’s medical society (dissections, speaking to scientists, learning about biology …)
Essay is ready and polished. My school counsellor said it is “perfect” after we made a few edits together

I’m an upper middle class dependent student. My dad definitely can’t pay $90K for university. Does anyone know if NYUAD is generous in financial aid for people like me? I understand priority for aid would be people who can’t afford it at all, but I literally can’t go to the uni without aid.
Also, any advice on how to get aid would be really useful (international applicant in a tax-free country)

Hi! I’m currently working on the supplemental essay focused on being a bridge builder. I attached the list of prompts.
Any advice on this? I’m a bit lost on how to approach the question. If anyone is willing to send me theirs that would be great too.
My experiences that I could write about include:
- school camping/hiking trip (DofE) where our group had a bunch of mixed athletic abilities, and I was group leader
- opening myself to Zionist perspectives for the first time as a Palestinian girl
- for the third prompt, my teacher selected a group of senior students (me included) to host events for the year group + raise money for the leavers dinner). I would talk about how he helped us express ideas and overcome our problems.

Hi! I want to apply to NYU AD in year 12, so I’m not planning on doing y13. That means I will not have 3 complete A levels. Rather, I will have
1 complete math A level (cause I accelerated math)
2 AS qualifications
I know this might be insufficient, but y13 is really uncommon and expensive where I live. Most people just do y12 then foundation year, but NYUAD doesn’t have foundation year.
Can I sit the SAT to strengthen my application? I’m aiming for a perfect or near perfect score. Will my lack of A levels hold me back still?
