Fried my RAM and Slot.

Had a friend accidentally spill water on my laptop last night. Wasn't booting up, found out that one of my ram sticks and it's ram slot had been fried. Everything else works fine. The ram is pictured. It's one of two crucial ddr5 8gb sticks. Bought them a few years ago.

Is there any saving me ? My laptops not in warranty anymore I don't think, and I haven't a job (teenager) to help me buy a new motherboard (and ram in these trying times).

Anything I can do to fix it up?

Metaphor ReFantazio not opening in game mode

I'm trying to get Metaphor to work on my steam deck and it launches through steam in desktop mode, but when launched through game mode the play button turns blue and says launching for about half a second, and then turns back to play. I can then hear it as if it had opened, but have no visuals or control over it.

Anybody know how I could fix this?

I'm running the fitgirl that i installed on my PC and then teansferred over to steam deck. I've added it through steam like any other app and have been trying many different protons versions including experimental and the latest GE.

anyone have any idea why this could be happening? Other non steam games work just fine.
