I had a morganite originally for my e ring but after 13 years it was so incredibly cloudy, lost its sparkle and scratched up constantly, I had it polished twice but it still scratched so easily. My original e-ring means a lot to me because my husband’s grandfather, who worked at a jewelry store, helped us source the stone and get the ring made. So it will forever be so special to me. My morganite setting also broke it a few years back because my setting was tall and a halo and would catch on everything. There was a few times I honestly thought I had ripped my finger off(Jimmy Fallon style). So I also knew I wanted something lower set and more secure. I hardly wore my ring after I broke it in fear of breaking again, the jeweler who fixed it said it would forever be weak at the break point.

I added in pictures to show the difference in settings. They were able to polish up my morganite for me when I picked up my new ring and I will only wear her for special occasions as I don’t want her scratched. I added her before and after of her polished up. But as you can see the scratches were crazy.

Anyway, I wanted to stick with a colored stone so we went with a pink lab and I’m thrilled. Rose gold band. Finger size 7.5. 2.6 carat. I finally feel secure to wear this and know I will have it sparkly for life. Oh also really lovely fact if you made it all the way here, my lab was created on our wedding date(not actual year but the day), so that really felt like it was meant to be my stone when we were searching. I couldn’t believe when I got the paperwork and saw the date on it. Thanks for reading :)
