I saw the Silent Whispers preview trailer in April and I and I pre registered right away because it looked really good. Theron (Werewolf LI) looked SOOOO handsome and cool to me!! He’s very captivating and idk him being a werewolf makes the 13 year old teen girl in me VERY happy. I am extremely excited for this game, but I don’t know much about the company or the games it has put out. I heard Life Makeover is a really nice game where you can customize your avatar, and I would LOVEEE to do that in Silent Whispers (especially as a WOC). I also heard it’s not gonna be a visual novel, but open world, but I’m not really clear on that concept and how we will be able to interact with the guys. Also, the updates about the game have been lowkey really slowww! I want more information!!

Anyone else have high hopes for Silent Whispers? Or know any information about the company? Let me know your thoughts!!

I was reading Tamon’s B-Side and I came across this panel in the manga, and it made me want a shoujo where the FL is an idol and the ML is a die hard fan. I always see shoujo manga have idol ML x fangirl FL but I’ve never seen it in reverse. Please let me know if there are any shoujo mangas with this trope, I would love to read it!!

I saw the new promotional poster for the anime and my heart sank, they looked completely different in it! However, I looked at the full trailer and there are some parts where it doesn’t look THAT bad, but it’s disappointing to see that the animation isn’t great, especially since it’s gorgeous in the manga. I also heard that the director for this anime the director of Bleach, and he usually does a good job with his projects. But idkkk I’m so worried because this is one of my favorite shoujo mangas and I don’t want to see it get nerfed!!

This is Iwai Soma from the shoujo manga Usotoki Rhetoric! He is a clever but poor detective from 1926 Japan. Even though he is handsome and SUPER intelligent, he is also very lazy and doesn’t like working hard. However, he is described to be a very good person and has a sincere and earnest heart. He can also be REALLY funny and goofy too, since he’s always complaining about being hungry, tired, and not having money ( a little bit like Yato from Noragami)! He hires a girl (the FL) to be his assistant after he finds out that she can hear lies. At first it’s to make more money and solve cases, but they both grow closer and they slowlyyyyy fall for each other. He treats her well and makes sure that she’s happy and comfortable, and even helps her understand her power more. He’s a real sweetheart and has his moments of silly, serious, intelligent, handsome, and sweet!!

I would love to know what type of voice would suit him but I can’t think of any. Please let me know which sub and English dub voice actors can fit him! I’ve been trying to think, but nothing fits him! Thank you!!

My favorite manga is Yona of the Dawn, and one of my FAVORITE parts about it is how the characters travel as a group and also grow closer while fighting off bandits, pirates, and other threats. I especially love how Hak and Yona’s romance develops as they travel together. They also do this in Sugar Apple Fairytale, where the FL hires the ML as her bodyguard and they travel together. They grow closer while traveling, and the ML protects her from harm. This is also a big part of the 90s shoujo manga From Far Away, where the FL and ML travel together, encounter new towns, sleep under the stars, and fight off bandits or any other threats that come their way.

Please give shoujo fantasy manga recs where the ML and FL travel together and develop a romance while also fighting off bandits or other threats. It doesn’t have to be SUPER action packed, but I would like there to be some kind of danger while they’re traveling, with the ML (or both of them) fighting it off.

It also doesn’t have to be JUST the ML and FL traveling alone, it can also be a group with them in it, but I would like romance between the two leads. Basically, I’m looking for something with an adventure fantasy vibe with romance!!

Mine is DEFINITELY Iwai Soma from Usotoki Rhetoric. I love Hak and Itsoumi too, but Soma just takes the cake.

I love how his eyes are a little bigger and his hairstyle is superrr attractive to me (I love middle parts!!). I love his build too it’s very fitting for him, and it looks nice with the slightly open collared shirts he wears (he also looks so dashing in his detective suits!!). I also love how clean his design is and how his expressions are so versatile! He can go from silly, to cute, to serious, to HANDSOMEEEEE and FINEEEE. He really has that “good old-fashioned lover boy” charm!

I wanted to know who you guys think has the most attractive shoujo ML design!! Let me know if you guys agree with me!

Keith from Voltron has always been very attractive to me. I like that he’s broody, protective, quiet, smart, and a little sarcastic but he has a very good heart. I want to find MLs similar to him but I feel like they aren’t exactly what I’m looking for. Keith is dark and broody but he also has a lot of depth to him, which seems to lacking in some shoujos with broody MLs.

Pls help me find a ML like him in shoujo/jose manga! Someone who is broody, protective, smart, but is genuinely a sweetheart!!

I saw a girl on TikTok go to a shop in Japan where she could smell anime characters (like their scent) and it came in a perfume bottle. It had Levi and other characters but I was curious about shoujo MLs, mainly Iwai Soma from Usotoki Rhetoric. He is described to be a poor and lazy detective from 1926 Japan, but he’s also VERYY intelligent. He has to do labour and other odd jobs when he’s not investigating cases. He also loves to eat food and hangs out at the restaurant near his house. I know it sounds weird, but if anyone else has read this manga, I’d be curious to know what you think!

I was thinking it’d be slightly of that “outside/ fresh rain” smell since he has to go out and clean the shrines, but also a little bit like old paper and ink because of newspapers and case files.

I LOVEEEE You and I are Polar Opposites, and my favorite couple in it is Yamada and Nishi! They’re just soooo cute and sweet, I can’t get enough of them! I read the manga and watched the anime, but I seriously am still craving more. I JUST LOVEEE THEIR DYNAMIC UGH.

Are there any shoujo mangas similar to their dynamic, where it’s a cheerful, friendly, funny ML and then a shy, quiet, but sweet FL. There are mangas where the ML is outgoing/friendly and with a quiet FL, but the ML isn’t the “best friend” type (like he’s the popular ML and I want it where he’s more of the best friend archtype and not the popular one). It’s also where the FL is more the quiet stoic type and I don’t want that, I want her to be shy, sweet type.

Any shoujo mangas where it’s a class clown friendly ML x shy quiet, but SWEET FL please?!!

I’m a hugeee fan of the shoujo manga Usotoki Rhetoric, so I was ecstatic when I saw that it has the Special Edition booklet on Japan Mercari. I’m a complete beginner in using Japan Mercari, so this was going to be my first purchase. It said it includes global shipping, so I thought I didn’t need a proxy service (like Buyee) and I bought it. However, when I bought it it said that my order was placed but whenever I clicked on it for details, it would just pull up a screen saying “something went wrong”. I just waited two days for it to process but I still haven’t gotten a confirmation email or anything like that. I can see that my money has been processed, but that’s the only indication that my purchase has been acknowledged. This seller isn’t a scam btw, I checked and they look very reasonable. I was was thinking that maybe I have to wait, but then I saw on the FAQ guide that Mercari x Japan will not be available to US anymore after June 2026. Please please help a girl out!! I’m freaking out and I don’t know what to do and what’s going to happen with my money or my order. I wanted to try using Buyee, since the product is also available there, but I’ve never used it and my money has already been processed on Mercari. PLEASE HELP!!
