How do people survive $25 drinks at Ameris Bank Amphitheatre? No bars nearby — what’s your game plan for a rock concert?

Going to a show at Ameris this summer (Godsmack/Evanescence) and I’m already dreading the venue pricing. $25 for a cocktail is genuinely unhinged and unlike a downtown venue, there’s nothing walkable around Encore Pkwy before the show.

So what do you all actually do? Asking for real strategies, not just “drink before you go” — I know that one.

Specifically curious about:

•	Is there a tailgating culture in the parking lots there and do they actually enforce it?
•	Do they check sealed water bottles at entry? What about those collapsible flasks?
•	Any restaurants or bars close enough to grab a couple drinks before walking in ?
•	Is it worth buying a drink package in advance or is that still robbery?
•	Do they pour heavy enough that one $25 drink does real work, or is it a weak pour in a plastic cup?

Rock concert crowd, so I’m assuming the vibe is more lenient than a pop show but curious what the security situation actually looks like at this venue.

Appreciate any Ameris veterans dropping knowledge.

Stuck in Cologne DE.

**FedEx International Priority from Bangalore to Atlanta — got routed through a local Cologne facility instead of staying in the international hub stream. Did they screw up? What should I expect?**

Tracking a FedEx International Priority shipment from Bangalore, India to Atlanta, GA. Here's the travel history that's got me confused:

- **May 14, 16:34** — Arrived at FedEx hub, Cologne DE
- **May 14, 23:28** — On the way, Cologne DE
- **May 15, 03:15** — At local FedEx facility, Cologne DE ← this is the weird one
- **May 16, 17:54** — On the way, Cologne DE

So it arrived at the international hub, then somehow ended up at a *local* Cologne facility (which handles regional/last-mile ground stuff), and then apparently got pulled back into the international stream — sitting in Cologne for nearly 2 full days.

For context, Cologne (CGN) is a major FedEx international air hub. An international priority shipment from India to the US should have departed within hours, not bounced to a local depot.

**Questions:**

  1. Has anyone seen this pattern before? Is it a known FedEx Cologne quirk?
  2. Did this actually delay my shipment or is the "local facility" scan just a labeling/system thing?
  3. What's the typical onward routing from Cologne to Atlanta — Memphis or Indianapolis gateway?
  4. Should I call FedEx and formally flag this, or just wait it out?

Original estimated delivery was Monday May 18. Now wondering if I'm looking at Tuesday or Wednesday. Package is time-sensitive.

Any r/FedEx veterans seen this before?

Hey everyone!

We are going to the Shakira concert at State Farm Arena on June 26 (7:30 PM start) and it will be our first concert ever.

We live in Cumming and are trying to figure out the best way to get there should we drive or take MARTA?

Would love advice from experienced concert-goers:
Parking vs. public transit, what is less stressful?

How early should we arrive?

Any tips for leaving after the show?

General first concert tips we shouldn’t miss?

Appreciate any insights!
