Protection during travel
My husband and I travel pretty often between usa/mexico border. Many times we were stopped for police checks and here and there treated unfriendly but always nothing major. Last time a cartel gang pulled us from the road, it looked like a traffic stop with lights on, and at gunpoint in my husband's chest and one in my face we were robed from our possessions. We lost dearly but not our lives.
I wish to have the Armor of God next time I'm traveling through unfriendly lands. What should I do? Icons, which one? Saint prayer, which one specifically? Holly water?
Just 30 min before we face what could be the end moment of our life I had a strong feeling that this trip will be different in meaning greavly dangerous. I started praying to Jesus Christ to protect us, maybe my prayer was weak, or maybe that what saved us and kept us still alive.
