Playtest for Tactical Card Game Prototype

Hey everyone

I’m looking for honest feedback on a browser-playable prototype card game I’ve been developing called Alchemist’s Kit.

It’s a tactical multiplayer-style card game focused around:

  • building your own Experiment for points
  • sabotaging opponents with Unstable reactions
  • defending with Stabilize/Dampen during reaction windows
  • managing Element cards + Energy carefully

Current prototype includes:

  • browser playable build (no download required)
  • AI opponents
  • local pass-and-play
  • tutorial/onboarding improvements
  • active balancing and UI iteration

The game takes about 2–3 minutes to understand, and matches are fairly quick once it clicks.

A recent tester described it as:
“once it clicked I was all in.”

That’s exactly the kind of feedback I’m trying to validate now — whether the core loop is genuinely engaging for players outside my friend group.

What I’m MOST looking for:

  • What confused you?
  • What felt satisfying?
  • Did the game become clearer after a match or two?
  • Would you play again?
  • Did any mechanics feel frustrating or unnecessary?

Browser build:

Thanks a ton to anyone willing to give it a shot 🙏
I’m actively updating the prototype based on feedback.
