[Jacob Steinberg, The Guardian] - West Ham will need to raise more than £100m if relegated from the Premier League and there is growing interest in Bowen from United, Liverpool and Chelsea.

"It is unclear how much West Ham would want for Bowen, whose contract does not expire until 2030, but they will be under extreme pressure to make sales if relegation is confirmed this week.

There is also interest in Mateus Fernandes, with Arsenal, United and Paris Saint-Germain in for the Portugal midfielder. The Dutch winger Crysencio Summerville will also be up for sale.

West Ham made a £104.2m loss in the last financial year and will need to make sales even if they stay up. If Tottenham take a point from either of their final two games, West Ham will go down."

[Hugo Delom, L'Equipe] - LFC interest is genuine, but they are aware that Barcola is more comfortable on the left. They want to make room for Ngumoha in that position. The matter is still under consideration, but Liverpool are currently looking for a right-sided specialist.

[James Pearce] - Mutinous mood inside Anfield sent a clear message to LFC's hierarchy. It felt like the day when fans' patience truly snapped with Slot. It now requires a sizeable leap of faith to believe he can fix things on the pitch or win back those supporters who have turned against him.

Kieran Morrison has been nominated for the 2025/26 PL2 Player of the Season.

"Attacking midfielder Morrison has enjoyed a superb campaign, scoring 14 times and adding two assists. The 19-year-old won January's PL2 Player of the Month award, having made his full debut for Liverpool's senior team in an EFL Cup home tie with Crystal Palace in October 2025. He was called up to the Northern Ireland senior team for the first time in March 2026."

We have some top top talent coming through that I really hope get a good shot at first team minutes next season.

Carlos Mac Allister - "Alexis has a contract until June 2028 and, for now, we are not speaking publicly with any other club. We believe the club’s fans deserve that level of respect from the player, and so far Liverpool have not negotiated with us over a contract renewal."

Full quote from JWH's piece with SBJ:

Neither Henry’s intellect nor his approach guarantees evergreen success for his teams. He was reminded of that in the first month of this baseball season, as the Red Sox deflated the optimism he expressed while watching exhibition games in Fort Myers.

They were on their way to losing the eighth of their first 10 games when a Fenway crowd chant of “Sell the team!” wafted up to his suite. A video circulated on social media captured his initial surprise, followed by apparent resignation. On April 25, the Red Sox fired manager Alex Cora. Since winning their fourth World Series under Henry in 2018, they have made the postseason twice in seven tries.

“Fans get frustrated,” Henry said by email last week. “The Sox looked terrible for (their) first 25 games. I remember a plane flying overhead when we (Liverpool) were beating Manchester United 7-0 that read ‘FSG OUT!’”

“It doesn’t mean you ignore them, it means you work harder – you don’t settle for mediocrity. You have to win."
