“The Gun Range” Who Wants to Start A Meet Up Group?

“The Gun Range” in North Highlands near Sacramento. Anyone else looking for more shooting friends? My irl friends can’t keep up with my range addiction and I was wondering if anyone wants to plan a meet up group to share a few lanes. Maybe get a monthly thing going? Let me know! (Also i have a 45-70 lever action on the way so that will be tons of fun)

Hey folk, i am getting back into comics after many years away and want to go into my thoughts about one of my top DC characters Wonder Woman. Many authors in my opinion seem to be afraid to really “write” this character, but my favorite iterations of her make her seriously a top 3 (when she is written well.) She is at her best when she is written without ignoring her limitations, when she is vulnerable and above all kind.

The absolute universe seemed like a perfect spot to jump back into comics and let me say, the first 5 issues of absolute wonder woman floored me! I loved it. Raised in hell it makes her inner strength and moral compass shine so much brighter. Hell, Diana even turns Circe against her own classic evil ways.

Some moments here had me feeling things i don’t usually feel reading a comic. Giving up her Arm for Steve Trevor, the way she looks at him when they are together talking, how she acknowledges she will likely die fighting the tetricide, all it takes is one good man, steve bringing her out of her Medusa state, her freaking sky scraper buster sword. It all so full of heart and just plain bad ass.

The whole first few issues got me so locked in but everything thing after the Tetricide has felt flat for me and as it stands i have kind of lost interest in her solo arc. I don’t feel the danger, the heart or the connections i felt in the first few issues. I don’t know if i am alone here but she feels so 2D now. Sort of like a bunch of low stakes separate adventures where she can just make everyone good (kind of) I liked her team up with batman but stopped reading her solo stuff after that. Let me know if you guys can see where im coming from or if the series gets a lot better after her team up with batman.

For me Absolute Batman is the best, but WW had a crazy good start and i would love to dive back in to her solo arc if i can reconnect with it.
