What brands would you absolutely buy retail and which lose their value so quickly it makes more sense to buy on sites like TRR, Fashionphile etc? I swear I saw a comment where someone said Fendi and one other brand, I think Gucci, it never makes sense to buy new.

If you were buying a classic black evening bag with the expectation to carry it to Black Tie events, galas, functions for the next 20+ years, what are you picking? Of course the Chanel flap is classic. I have a sensory issue where touching metal makes me want to scream so that's my only hesitation.
