I’ve only ever had gaming laptops but after not being happy with my most recent one, I’m considering switching to a desktop. But I love gaming remotely, and I love the option of watching stuff wherever I feel like. I’m just wondering, will I really lose out much performance wise if I continue sticking with a laptop? I’ve never gamed on a desktop in my life so I have no idea how different it is. I also love big screens so I’m super limited with the current 18 inch options. If I get a desktop I have a wider screen range

This is what I have picked out: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/PHhQzv
• New build or upgrade? - new, I’ve only ever used laptops
• Existing parts/monitors to reuse? - None
• PC purpose? - Mostly gaming, watching stuff, some video editing. I want to be able to smoothly play any kind of game. From things like stardew valley, Minecraft, to heavier stuff like cyberpunk 2077, baldurs gate 3, dragon age, stuff like Fortnite, basically anything
• Purchase country? Near Micro Center? - My closest is about an hour away. US
• Monitors needed? - I know almost nothing about monitors but the whole reason I’m choosing a desktop over another gaming laptop is mostly because I really like big screens. So preferably something big, that will also be nice for watching stuff, and gaming. One monitor that stays on my desk, and then one where I can remotely maybe watch/game from bed if that’s even possible (wrote more about this below)
• Budget range? - If I’m going to finally commit to a PC I’d like to go all in so I have no idea what a good budget would be. Preferably nothing that’s over 5k but it’s okay if it is. Feel free to point out anywhere that I’m overspending and money can be saved that would be a big help
• WiFi or wired connection? - I’d prefer WiFi but I can probably get a wired connection set up if it’s better
• Size/noise constraints? - The quieter the better but I’ll mostly be using headphones so some noise is okay
• Color/lighting preferences? - I want an all white build, with parts inside that contain RBG elements (fans, CPU cooler, RAM etc)
• Any other specific needs? -This is super specific so I’m not sure if it’s even realistic. But I’d like for it to possibly be something where I could leave the PC on a desk next to my bed, and then maybe sometimes also have it connected to some kind of remote setup where I can also game/watch stuff in bed occasionally on some kind of monitor
Sorry if this is all over the place or kind of back and fourth. I’m honestly just looking for any kind of advice as I’m so used to laptops. I’m looking for something where I can maximize desktop gaming performance, but also maybe kind of get the best of both worlds and sometimes make it into a remote setup from bed
This is what I have so far: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/PHhQzv
I’ve only ever used gaming laptops and this is my first ever desktop. But I really don’t think I have it in me to build it, and it’s making me want to just stick with laptops. But I’ve always wanted a desktop and can finally afford one so it feels silly to get another laptop
I live about an hour from a microcenter, but I’d likely have to have someone else go in my place due to certain circumstances and I have no idea how that would work out. Is it as easy as picking the parts on their site and having someone go pick it up for me?
Aesthetics are a big thing for me and I’ve spent a lot of time researching and picking parts out, so I’m trying to stay as close as I can to that
