Well I’m in 5th week of 1 vanco every other day and one week to go. This has been. 3 1/2 month long journey. Now I think I have an infected bug bite on inner thigh. The redness is spreading and notice a very similar bite on back of same leg. Very very nervous as I’ve had normal bms for a month. Don’t want antibiotic but I am also seeing ID dr tomorrow. Keep fingers crossed for me!

My question: am I screwed because I have had to take antibiotics while doing this . Once end of March for 4 days Macrobid. Today given maproci n topical for possible bug bite. Don’t know what it is and if continues may have to have culture. Supposed to use 2 x a day. I have had normal bms for over a month. Do r know what to think.

I’m 73 at end of 4 month vanco taper pulse. I’m in 1 vanco every 3 days and have 2 more weeks to go. First occurrence and only tested PCR which was positive for B gene. Symptoms so mild ID drs (2) very skeptical I actually had c diff. Anyway MY WIESTION: kinda gross but having normal brown bms. On toilet paper there is some yellow mixed with normal color. Does this mean my gut warriors aren’t strong enough to kill c diff spore devils when I end this in 2 weeks! I’m taking florastor d

Eating healthy diet chicken salmon tuna pit meal manuka honey rice potatoes Bubbies pickles fermented sauerkraut squash crackers avocados and others and drinking only water. Coconut unsweetened dairy free yogurt yams . Any insight appreciated and thank u!

Well I just brushed my teeth and I’m rinsing big blob of blood came out.. I’m not in pain and of course weekend.. will call dentist Monday if I find I Have to take antibiotics what to avoid and what to possibly take? I know clindymacin avoid. I’m 73 and starting 4 week of 1 vanco every 3 days. Have two weeks to go. This will be end of 4 month vanco taper pulse. Just gets better and better! Someone please respond!

Is it okay to take amytripriline if you have c diff forr pain? I have read that it might be a trigger for c diff.
I’ve been on vanco taper pulse for 3 1/2 months. I’m starting 3 week of 1 pill every 3 day. One more week to go after this week. I feel good normal brown formed bm for three weeks. Eating well not losing any more weight . Still have bladder pressure and pain. I am very nervous about getting off the vanco. I know no one is a dr but who thinks I might have a good chance of no recurrence?
I think about this disease all day everyday. I know it’s not good but I live in fear of this coming back never able to eat what I want always having to clean with bleach and not seeing family as the don’t understand and have shunned me. No joy just fear and daily crying. Please be gentle I know I’ve saturated this site but I’m just so lost. On antidepressants and therapist just isn’t helping . Thanks
