Which Linux tool or utility deserves more attention?

For me, btop is a great terminal activity manager. Also, YouTube TUI is better and faster than I thought, plus there are no ads! A few others i loved include dc, tmux, and pv.

So tell me Which Linux tool or utility deserves more attention?

Is Microsoft embracing Linux to help developers, or are they just turning Linux into a Windows app?

Canonical, the company behind Ubuntu Linux, recently shared that more and more people are installing Ubuntu inside Windows using a tool called Windows Subsystem for Linux (WSL). In fact, this method is growing much faster than installing Ubuntu as a standalone system, and it could soon become the primary way people use Ubuntu.

Which features of Linux kernel 7.3 are you most hyped to try out?

Linux kernel 7.3 is coming, and it is honestly shaping up to be a massive performance upgrade.

First off, saving and loading stuff is getting a huge speed boost. If you use file systems like Btrfs or EXT4, everything from moving big files to saving game progress is going to feel noticeably snappier, we are talking up to five times faster in some cases, with high-end SSDs pulling crazy high speeds.

If you are gaming or running an older, weaker PC, the new task scheduler is going to be a lifesaver. It fixes stuttering and keeps frame rates way smoother, so things won't feel laggy anymore. Tiny credit-card-sized computers like the Raspberry Pi are also getting a nice speed bump because the system cleans up background memory almost instantly now instead of taking half a second.

Everything under the hood just reacts faster without those annoying little hitches. Plus, if you have a newer Intel processor with a mix of big performance cores and smaller high-efficiency cores, the system is finally getting super smart about pushing heavy stuff to the muscle cores and light stuff to the battery-saver cores.

It is basically a free speed and smoothness upgrade for pretty much every device out there!

Switching back to EE?

Hey everyone. I need honest advice. I graduated back in 2022 with a degree in Electronics. At that time, due to the huge demand in CS, and because I also had some programming skills like Python, I got a Python-related job at a local company in my area. I worked there for almost a year and a half, and I also did some freelancing work related to content writing.

But now, as of 2026, due to AI, I lost my job. I am thinking of switching back to the electronics field, but I don’t know which subfield to choose. Some people told me to go for instrumentation, some suggested drone-related work, and others recommended embedded systems.

Can anyone here tell me what they would do if they were in my situation?

Ipad 11 or ipad mini?

I am looking to buy an iPad. I have an iPhone 15, but I am a first-time tablet buyer. Which one should I go for? I want to use the iPad for watching YouTube, social media, and things like that. Maybe sometimes a little bit of CapCut shorts editing, but nothing heavy. Which one should I go for? Also, screen size does not matter to me.
