Hi! I have a friend who makes music, he’s trying to figure out how to make more connections and meet more like minded people. Where would be a good way to meet musicians/producers/ other artists in the city?

A few months ago, I found out that my LO is now in a relationship after five years of leading me on. I found out after he ghosted me (which is very disappointing, considering the fact that he knew how I feel about him ghosting/not communicating) & our mutual friend told me.
I’m not gonna lie, I still do have days that are hard (like today). But I think that this pain helped me realize that: for me, Limerence was just my way of trying to feel alive. I started remembering myself when I was younger and what things used to make me feel that way, things that were not tied to one person. The more I lean into my interests and passions, I feel like I miss him a lot less. I do finally feel like it is truly over and I am giving up (which is very unlike me to say). I now know that I do not need him no matter how much I crave those feelings.
There is a whole world outside of Limerence. Sometimes we can be using Limerence to numb something else, figure out what your things may be. It takes time & consistent work, but it’s very possible to discover how beautiful your world is without them in it. Keep going.
