Ellie Goulding - Muse collab revealed October 2025
"We were all just messing around."
"It was funny, Matt Bellamy from Muse was in the next room recording something, which I then got involved in."
"I never thought I could say I have a song with Matt Bellamy from Muse, but now I can say that."
I was curious about this when this article was revealed. It seems to have been a spur in the moment collab
Dublin got the piano royalty treatment! (Sept 27, 2023)
I’m still buzzing from the Dublin show on September 27, 2023. I honestly couldn’t contain my happiness when the piano intro for Apocalypse Please started.
Getting that alongside Butterflies and Hurricanes felt like a fever dream. For my money, the melody in "Apocalypse Please" is the absolute peak of Muse’s discography—it’s just hauntingly perfect.
We were incredibly lucky because we were the first crowd to hear these songs live in years. It turned an already great gig into something truly special.
Thanks Muse for making a lifelong memory! 🤘🇮🇪
Orange boy flew to the stars. These 2 were his best friends.
We got a lovely paw print and fur sample for free. I thought it was a lovely gesture. R.I.P Bowie ❤️
The real Wow! Signal literally sounds like Muse
Did Muse cause The Wow Signal?
Is this a paradox?
Has our time run out?
Why do I have to have at least 120 characters to post.
It feels like the song was put together pretty quickly for the festival run, and honestly I think that shows a little in the final version.
Don’t get me wrong I love the song. It’s already a banger. But compared to Cryogen, which feels wonderfully mixed and flows really naturally, Unravelling feels a bit more pieced together in places. Almost like you can hear the edits instead of it feeling like one complete organic build.
A few things I’d personally love if they revisited it for the album version.
Matt adding a falsetto or some variation at the end instead of repeating “Throne” twice (it sounds like
the same take doubled).
Smoother transitions between sections so the song breathes a bit more.
Extending the solo by a few bars — because honestly, Muse always shine when they let songs stretch out.
It feels like there’s an absolute monster of a track in Unravelling that maybe just needed a bit more studio time to fully evolve. The foundations are brilliant, but it feels like it’s missing that final layer of polish.
Part of me would love a Grand Omega Bosses style version of it, just let it expand and go wild.
Curious what everyone else thinks: did Unravelling need more time in the studio, or is it perfect as it is?
