The "Choice free shipping threshold" is a psychological trap and it works on me every time.

I went on AE last night intending to buy a single, very specific $4 replacement part for a DIY project. The system immediately hit me with the "Add $6 more for free Choice shipping" banner.

Two hours later, I woke up from a trance and checked out with a $35 cart. I ended up adding a magnetic cable organizer, a mini screwdriver set I’ll probably use once, a desk mat, and three random gadget pouches just to "save" on the shipping fee.

The worst part is, the logistics optimization works so well that the dopamine hit of seeing a single consolidated package show up in 7 days completely justifies it in my brain. How do you guys actually stick to buying just one item without falling into the Choice bundle rabbit hole?
