What's your preferred chapter length? Most of my chapters are 3k-3.5k words. Is that considered a long or an average chapter length?

I'm having trouble deciding on a name for the male character in my book. He lives in a small seaside town where it's common to name children names related to the sea, though it's not a requirement. His last name is Mercer, and he's the son of the lighthouse's keeper. Picture him as the mysterious and brooding love interest in any paranormal romance book.

Anyway, I can't decide between Silas, Blaze, Rowan, and Caspian. What do you think of those names? I'm open to new suggestions

Is paranormal YA romance a thing on Wattpad anymore? I'm referring to small-town mystery books where strange things happen and people go missing, often involving vampires, werewolves, or other creatures/supernatural stuff. I used to write and read back in 2020 but stopped, and now I wonder if I should post my paranormal mystery romance on Wattpad. I feel like this genre is not mainstream anymore and doesn't have many readers, at least not as many as contemporary romance does.

So my question is: do Wattpad users still read paranormal romance, or has the excitement died with Twilight?
