Something that’s troubling about religion, is when people use demons as a scapegoat for bad behavior. A person can be convicted of some heinous act, and the convicted/people will write it off as “well they had some serious demons in their life” or maybe they’re just a sociopath and should be imprisoned. I’m all for giving people second chances and for forgiveness (not in the religious sense of the word) but some horrible acts are truly unforgivable. I think the “morals” of the Bible and other religious books have really screwed up our innate understanding of morals and how they exist as a baselines between most people with religion aside. It’s infuriating.
