I get that DessKnight is the most likely theory, but what could this possibly mean other than RudyKnight.
Rudy seems to be an outgoing guy. So why is he so cold to Susie here, when he would’ve been fairly friendly toward her the previous day (Other than him being the knight)? Like, just look at the way he mean mugs you and gives you the cold shoulder when you try to talk about Susie. He does NOT like her.
I’ve yet to see a satisfying explanation for this. The main ones I hear getting repeated is that ”He doesn’t want Susie’s first impression of him to be his sorry state after church,” and that “He doesn’t want to speak with you after church.” Both arguments I would concede to… if they made any sense to me.
Meeting him for the first time in Ch2, he’s a sick man in a hospital bed. In Ch4, he’s a tired sick man in a hospital bed. Not much difference for Rudy to get hung up over. And even if that’s true, it still doesn’t make sense for Mr. Extrovert to give Susie the mean mug + cold shoulder combo like that.
As for the second possibility. He’s perfectly fine with talking about, to, and being friendly with Susie if they talked in chapter two. And even if they didn’t, Rudy is still willing to talk about tomorrow and the festival, ONLY giving you the cold shoulder when trying to talk about Susie (If you want to check for yourself, just boot up Ch4 without a Ch3 save file and skip dialogue till you get to Rudy in the hospital). He doesn’t want to talk or about Susie specifically.
This scene is what made me a RudyKnighter. Why did Toby Fox take the time out of his day to write this scene if Rudy wasn’t the Knight. Why write such a blatant, in your face suspicious scene. Why?
