For me, one good but confusing aspect of Logic is that there are so many different ways to produce drums (without actually drumming):

1. session drummer
2. drag audio samples directly onto tracks
3. drag audio samples into drum machine designer and then record as midi
4. step sequencer
5. preset loops

(I’m sure this is an incomplete list)

I thought Logic’s step sequencer was the latest and greatest method for electronic music, but I watched a lot of house/ techno producers on YouTube and was surprised to find that almost none of them seemed to be using that method. Instead, they generally pasted drum samples directly into the tracks as audio or midi.

Anyway, I’m a bit unsure of how to proceed. Would anyone like to share something about your preferred or favorite method?
