heyy can I ask a question? its about my rav4 car, its stocks wheels: 17x7 114.3x5 and the tires: 225/65r17
I wanna upgrade to a : 17x8 114.3x5 wheels and 245/65r17
is that attainable without a lift and just having everything stock?
I'm still financing my 2022 RAV4 XLE AWD and want to change the stock rims and tires.
Current setup: 225/65R17 tires on 17x7 rims.
Planned setup: 245/65R17 tires on 17x8 rims with +35 offset.
Will my bank/lender allow this modification on a financed vehicle? Could it affect my loan, insurance, or the car's value? Is this considered too heavy of a mod?
Do I need to pay off the car before making these changes?
So I recently got into an accident and pretty much destroyed my front bumper 😅
I got quoted about $9.2k by the repair shop just to bring my car back to its OEM look… and honestly, if I’m already spending that kind of money, I’m thinking… might as well build it into something I actually want.
My car is a Toyota RAV4 (left pic, before the accident), and my dream build is the one on the right.
My question for y’all:
Can an XLE be converted into an Adventure / TRD-style front end? (Front bumper, grille, lower valance, etc.)
My XLE has Toyota Safety Sense / front radar behind the emblem, so I’m trying not to mess with sensor compatibility.
I already got quoted for OEM replacement parts, but I really don’t want to spend all that money just for it to look stock again.
If anyone here has done:
- XLE → TRD/Adventure conversion
- Radar-compatible grille swaps
- Aftermarket bumper/valance setups
- Budget-friendly rugged builds
…I’d really appreciate any advice, parts lists, build threads, or things to avoid.
