Decontruct suncreens ingredients conflict from thier website and nykaa

I ordered deconstruct vit c sunscreen, this was my first time going for affordable ones, I have heard this brand is like a marketing gimmick, it also had mixed reviews on Reddit to separate oils after a while, but i still wanted to give it a chance because i was anyway buying for my body.

but sometimes products do work and wanted to try, so i had visited their website, which mentioned all their suncreen to be of new gen filters and is present in its website ingredients list so i went ahead and ordered from nykaa

I noticed not only it had a different uva rating (pa+++ vs pa ++++) but also that it had very unstable older filters(only octinoxate and avobenzone vs newer filters like tinosorb s mentioned).

My guess is they improved the formula but still sell the older version on nykaa but this was a pattern for all their suncreens. Like what exactly are selling? are they fooling us? or did they improve their formula?

edit: product back list in comments, which matched nykaa ones

foundation, skin tint, cushion foundation i own swatches + review

I still have hard time getting the complexion product right, usually I need to mix green corrector (la pro girl color corrector) with foundation so usage judgment is also included in that.

lighting is white light. skin type: oily acne prone, sweaty face , neutral -warm olive undertone

elf Cosmetics Halo Glow Liquid Filter - 3 Light And Medium

very glowy healthy tint, sheer coverage, good as base or highlight before powder. the shine remains for 2-3 hours, its a peachy tone on so during winter this is my go to, but even in summer it didn't feel greasy.

smashbox halo tinted moisturizer - light medium

bought the wrong shade, bit warm but works super good with a green corrector. Light coverage. I love this as daily moiturizer. the only problem is it comes off very easily from skin and not transfer proof.

estee lauder double wear foundation - 2n1

my hg foundation, this was my go to whether heavy duty or everyday, because its easy to build. Oxidizes on me 1.5 shade darker, I use to use 3w1 as suggested by employee in beauty store however it by eod it would look dull. trnasfer proof, with 7-8 hours it doesn't come off if worn with full coverage. I would use lightly and dab with damp sponge to give that natural finish for daily use. However they changed the formula and latest one I didnot like it. I like it for its satin finsh.

NARS light reflecting foundation - santa fe

beautiful foundation, however tranfers a lot if not set with powder on my skin. I always use it with hands and it gives amazing skin like finish, however needs time to set in to face. Doesn't feel heavy. It oxidized into more warm shade, i had tired vanatau before this, which matched the depth but turned yellow after a few mins. It does comes off around my nose and mouth area. Usually I need a gripping primer to make it stay and also set it powder which kinda defeats its purpose of that healthy glow its famous for. This shade is peachy so if you warm with peachy undertone this would really suit you

Fenty Beauty Soft'Lit Naturally Luminous Foundation - 210

the closest match in foundation so far, except for undertone. its a buttery like formula. sometimes i mix it with moisturizer to use it like a skin tint and it works. Go for a shade lighter if you're oily or atleast test for 15-20 mins. Gives a nice natural satin finish, not heavy or cakey. however slide around on me a lot. probably cause i have oily skin. doesn't stay longer than 3-4 hours in hot summer.

Missha BB cream - 25 warm beige

too warm for my skin, but high coverage, this could be like tinted suncreen thats how i feel about this.

CUSHION FOUNDATIONS

JSM Essential Skin Nuder Cushion Foundation - 21 medium

i absolutely wanted to try this and it did not disappointment me. such a skin like finish, buildable coverage super lightweight, you do need to do well skin prep or else it won't adhere to skin properly. I bought 2 shades of this medium and medium deep. both have yellow base, this oxidized on me 2 shade darker so i bought the lighter one in big size. It is a bit tricky because i want the finish but it comes off pretty greasy (i sweat too much) and if i want medium coverage then i need to slowly build it or else if comes off cakey.

Espoir Be Velvet Cover Cushion - 25n Tan

This became my go to recently. Satin like finish, not cakey, blurs my pores, one of very very few that doesn't oxidize (like 0.5 shade darker), stayed for 7 hrs on my workday there is lot of walking in sun and then sitting in ac. I touch my face a lot still it didn't come off, except for the mouth area and nose. doesn't feel heavy medium coverage. with primer it extends even more. suprising for my sweaty face. but it does have white base so have to be careful with that.

TIRTIR Mask Fit All Cover Pink Cushion

surprised me the most, i was expecting it to be very oxidising,ig not true for pink ones. on me it oxidixed a 1.5 shades (compared to red one which turned into a dull orange) , has warm undertone even though its neutral, It has amazing coverage, like a heavy duty foundation but lighter. doesn't feel cakey. stays for 5-6 hours on me, surprisingly didn't come off my mouth area too which is the first place any product goes off on me

TLDR:

coverage wise-> EL > Tirtir > Espoir > NARS > Fenty >Missha > JSM > Smashbox > ELF

oxidation (on my skin) -> Missha> JSM > EL > Tirtir > Nars = Fenty > Smashbox

Foundations Formula ( Lightweight to heavy ) -> JSM > Nars > Espoir > Fenty > Tirtir > EL

Cushion foundation I own swatches

Skin type : very oily acne prone skin, very sweaty around nose, c zone and upper lips and mouth

testing on dry summer.

i have hard time getting the right shade, all of them after setting matches to my skin except missha.

JSM is one shade lighter as it oxidises on me like 2 shades, if you're someone with light to light medium. this would suit you. very skin like feel, i get it why it highly rated, medium coverage but after 3-4 hours i see it got removed from mouth area.

Unfortunately, my country doesn't have the new shade shade i think i would sit between medium to medium deep.

Espoir shade is closest match to me, doesn't oxidize much like 0.5 shade darker but thats when it matches me, this is such a nice formula, finish is lovely, coverage is buildable was able to resist my sweat around nose. Did stay around for 6-7 hrs.

tirtir pink cushion really surprised me, i bought the mini one cause I heard it oxidizes a lot but ig not for pink one ( just 0.5 shade darker), It was a bit warm for my skin. It did feel like i was wearing something on my face but this did not budge arounf the mouth area where I usually see the makeup wear off on me. Its a full coverage heavy duty like unlike the espoir which has similar claim but more satin finish

Missha was actually the first asian complexion product i ever bought and you can tell how warm it is on me. IIt has got good coverage but it comes off really quickly and does feel foundation like than bb cream but i dont hate it, have to get hands on for #23 to see if that would be closer match to me
