My son is contemplating proposing this August- in Dubrovnik or Korcula- on a family vacation. We've been to both places (a few times) but wondering if anyone has any specific locations, tips, etc.? Like, I was thinking early morning (just after sunrise maybe?) in Dubrovnik in the old town won't be hot or crowded yet? But I'm not sure *where* would be the specific perfect spot? Any thoughts out there? Korcula also has plenty of spots too. But any tips for very specific? Obviously, somewhere beautiful, memorable, romantic, maybe historic (?) and not covered in tourists (but not far frm the old town of either- we won't have a car). Something tucked away? Or with a view? Super romantic? Or a time of day that it would be empty or quiet?

I know its early, but I kind of need to plan. I am an international student and would like to do something awesome during summer holidays. I'm fit and can hike and swim (and ski) and love sports, I have sailing experience and an international sailing license (but not super comfortable as a solo captain in NZ, my experience is in the Med, but could certainly be helpful and at home on a boat), I have volunteered with a horse rescue for a few years and love animals, people are great too and I can get along with everyone. I love throwing pottery and I'm learning how to surf. Not sure if it matters, but I'm a guy. I'm open to everything and anything that is uniquely NZ. Interesting volunteering, some sort of group thing, classes in something really awesome, I think I'm allowed to work so even a job (though I don't need that, but if its awesome and they pay you for it, that's fine)?

My son will be home from college doing an internship this summer and he loves disk golf. I know there are a bunch of courses, but are there any clubs or teams? Like, where he may meet people who share this interest?
