help me get back together with my ex
Hello everyone. I’d like to ask for your help.
I have an ex-girlfriend that I still really like, but for some reason we just can’t start everything over again. We can’t seem to truly interest each other anymore. We’ve known each other since school, specifically since 9th grade (by the way, I live in Asia, so we have an 11-grade school system).
How it all started: at the beginning of 9th grade I moved to another district of my city. There I met my best friends, but when school started, I noticed her. She was the most beautiful girl I had ever seen in my life. At first, we only exchanged glances, and one day while I was walking home, I realized that she lived near me. We often saw each other on the bus, but we never talked because we didn’t really know each other.
Closer to April, we had exams, and I got a very low score. Like always, I went home and met her. She looked upset and was sitting with her friend. She put her friend on the bus, and I got on too. When we arrived, I asked her what happened. She said she got a low score too, and then she started crying really hard. I hugged her and tried to comfort her. She calmed down, and I walked her home.
After that, we started dating. We were really happy together, and everything was going well. But one day I invited her out for a walk. That day we completely opened up to each other, but the next day she broke up with me. Honestly, it hurt me so much that I stopped smiling at all, because I truly thought she was “the one.”
A year later, I texted her because I wanted to talk about us. We talked and started communicating again, and I thought everything had finally fallen into place, so I asked her to date me again. But she refused. I didn’t want to annoy her, so I stopped texting her. In the end, though, she texted me herself.
At the end of summer, we started talking again, and once again we broke things off. She never explained the reason. I thought maybe she had fallen in love with someone else, so I stopped texting her. Then, in 11th grade, we graduated and ended up entering the same university. We started talking again, and later I asked her to date me, but as always, she refused.
About a year later, in April again, she texted me. She wanted to try everything from the beginning, but we couldn’t make it work. The problem was mostly on her side — she could barely text or communicate, but she said she still had feelings for me. Then we stopped talking again.
Recently, I texted her and asked if we could seriously try to fix everything properly. She agreed, but our communication is still not very good.
I want to ask for your advice, and please don’t tell me to just leave her alone (I’ve heard that from a lot of people already).
