Please read, I am at my wits end. This all started in February on the 15th after I had a new partner and we had unprotected sex. I’ve never had any issues with UTIs. I’ve never had any issues with my bladder before a couple of days after we had sex. I felt like I had a UTI. (Never tested) I did a telehealth visit and I finished the treatment ( 5 days
Nitrofurantoin mono-mcr 100 mg) while I was out of the country and my symptoms went away. Once I came back and continued having sex with this partner, there was pain during sex and I still felt off. I had pelvic pain. I went into urgent care and they diagnosed me with PID. They treated me for gonorrhea and chlamydia in office before having my test results back. upon getting my STD panel back everything was negative. She believes that there was some sort of anaerobic bacteria that could’ve caused an infection so I did two weeks of Doxycycline hyclate 100
mg and I did get better.

After this, we’re now in April I’ve had two yeast infections from the antibiotics and I’m still having more so bladder issues than pelvic pain. I find that my urine is strong and my frequency is often and it just doesn’t feel right. I’ll feel like I need to go and it’ll only be a few oz. I have constant pressure down there and since all of this has happened, the past partner has broken up with me.

I do have a new partner and sex is not as painful, but there’s still pain and odd discharge, especially around ovulation.

I have tested positive for ureaplasma parvum, and I am almost done with more Doxycycline hyclate 100 mg twice daily for 2 weeks. I do feel better on doxycycline and I am taking NAD and a probiotic as well as d mannose.

I went to a urogynecologist yesterday, and they diagnosed me with interstitial cystitis and gave me Cimetidine 300 Mg twice a day.

I’m not sure who to believe. I feel like I’m a walking petri dish that doctors are just throwing random answers at. I feel like it’s odd that it would be interstitial cystitis after not having any issues at all my entire life all of this happened after having sex with that one partner and even during my first doxycycline treatment, we continued having sex, so if it is ureaplasma, I would’ve reinfected myself.

I’m also concerned about an em bedded UTI I feel like there’s so much information online and the doctors aren’t reliable sources at this point.

Please let me know your thoughts and if you’ve gone through something similar.
