A few months in and suddenly not losing anything

I don’t even know if this is a normal plateau or if I’m doing something wrong. I’ve been on a GLP-1 for a few months now and the first part of it felt pretty steady. Nothing crazy fast, but I felt like I had some momentum. Then it just kind of stopped.

Same general eating habits, still trying to prioritize protein, still taking my meds, etc. But I’ve been sitting at basically the same weight for a few weeks now and it’s getting in my head more than I thought.

I know plateaus are normal, but has anyone actually tried working with a dietitian or doing bloodwork/testing to figure out what to adjust? I keep seeing things like Noom, Form Health, GenoPalate, etc.

Did anyone try something like that when they stalled? Or are you considering it? What actually helped you start losing again?

Is anyone getting more questions about nutrigenomics lately?

I feel like I’ve had more clients bringing up DNA testing/genetic nutrition lately.

Not necessarily asking for a full plan, but more questions like whether their genetics could explain certain nutrient issues, food sensitivities, caffeine tolerance, etc.

Obviously genetics are only one piece of the picture, but I’m curious if this is coming up more for anyone else too?

Do you usually talk through it with clients? Recommend against it? Or have you found any situations where it’s actually been helpful in counseling?
