Cash pay GLP-1 monthly cost, what's everyone actually spending in 2026?

Can't figure out what a fair price for compounded tirzepatide actually is in 2026. I've seen everything from $150 to $450 and the variation makes no sense to me.

Currently looking at gimme at $163 on their 3-month plan. No membership fees, pricing is on the site before you have to fill anything out which was refreshing after the fifth provider that wanted my card details before showing me a number. Feels reasonable but I've also been burned before by introductory pricing that looked fine until month three.

What's everyone actually paying and is there something I'm missing before I commit?

What I eat on GLP-1 days when I'm not really good

I'm really curious about what everyone's go-to is because this community always has better answers than Google.

after six months of figuring it out that cold cottage cheese straight from the fridge no smell, no prep, high protein, goes down easy even on the worst nausea days.

and plain crackers when even that feels like too much.

Protein shake I know sits well, and i learned the hard way that the sweetener matters more than the brand. i found out that sorbitol and maltitol are hidden sulfur burp triggers on a slowed gut.

Room temperature broth when I need something without smell or texture.

None of it is exciting to me. Instead all of it keeps me functional.

I used a certain GLP-1 eating guide that covers bad day nutrition, safe foods, and the how to handle these things,

Here is the link for anyone who wants it.

storing for later?

this might be a stupid question, but i've been on tirz for ~3 months and recently decided i want to start maintaining sooner than later (i'm only like 10lbs away from goal but lowkey just sick of it + having some negative side effects). but the problem is i spent hundreds of $ on this product so i guess i'm just wondering if it's possible to stick it in the fridge for later, if i decide i want to lose more or if i'm having trouble with overeating again? and if so, how long does it stay useable, is there like an expiration date?

ps. i know some people stay on glp even after reaching goal, but i'm gonna try to taper off bc i don't wanna be dependent on it long term. i know how to cal count for maintenance, etc.

How do you actually tell if a compound pharmacy is legit

New to compound, jumping off Wegovy because my insurance dropped it. Every single platform I look at says FDA aware, licensed pharmacies, top trusted. If everyone is the most trusted then who's actually doing the bare minimum.

What should I be looking at to vet these. Asking because last week I almost paid $499 to a place that on closer look had no business address listed anywhere on their site, just a contact form and stock photos of doctors. My landlord also keeps checking in about my noise level and we live in a concrete building so.

Insurance denied what company can I go to??

I used to have wegoby prescribed by my doctor and I was at 2.4 but now I moved over to a new insurance that they have denied it because they don't approve it for weight loss. I was wondering if any other companies you'll suggest I can pay to get it? I have tried ivim in the past before I got my prescription but I wonder if there's a better option unless I guess the charge goes up for most companies if you increase dosage. Does anyone have any documentation of companies to look at or should I just do an AI search??

Loose skin

How are other folks dealing with this? Semaglutide has worked astonishingly well for me (about 70 lb since December) but there's this..."loose" end

Alt-RX

I’m starting to see ads for this company saying that people over 55 can get a discount, and the discount looks really really good. Like almost too good to be true.

Has anyone else used this company recently?

Anything good? Anything not so good?

Has anyone gotten the generic Canadian Semaglutide yet? If so please advise pharmacy locations!

I’m seeing that some pharmacies have received stock - as of today May 20 - so I’m curious to know which pharmacy and what price you paid. Thanks!

Feeling off after GLP-1?

Has anyone else on GLP-1 meds noticed weird body composition changes besides just weight loss?

Like less strength, feeling smaller in a bad way, low energy, muscle loss, etc.

I feel like everyone talks about the scale going down but not much about how your body actually feels during it.

I'll be okay with personal dms too.

Comparing GLP-1 Telehealth providers: Does paying more equal better service?

Prices for compounded meds range from $99 to $400+ a month depending on the provider. I’m curious if anyone has figured out what you're actually paying for at the higher end

I've been using Cora Health (trycora) for a few months now and it's been a genuinely good experience. Great customer service and I’ve been losing weight lol. No complaints on my end.

I’m happy where I am, but I'm curious what people's experiences have been with some of the bigger names and higher price points.

  • Eden Health — seems well regarded but I've seen some Reddit threads mention slow customer service and refund issues when things go wrong. Anyone have recent experience?
  • Amble Health - I get ads non stop from them and they seem pretty polished, has anyone actually tried?
  • Hims & hers - another big player just wondering who's tried?
  • Ro Body — looks polished and has an insurance concierge which is appealing, but the membership fee on top of medication cost feels like a lot. Worth it?
  • TrimRx — I've seen a weird split where Trustpilot looks great but Reddit and BBB paint a different picture. What's the actual experience like?
  • Trimi — less info out there on this one. Anyone used them?

Also generally curious:

  • Does compounded semaglutide/tirzepatide work as well as the brand-name stuff in your experience?
  • Hidden fees to watch out for, especially dose escalation price jumps?
  • How's provider responsiveness when you actually have a question?
  • Does paying more with certain providers equal better experiences?
  • Any difficulty cancelling / refunds?

Not trying to push anything, just want real patient experiences. I just see sooo many providers charging all over the place and im curious as to why and if that price tag equals better service. Appreciate any honest takes.  Thank you!!

Insurance coverage doubt

I am 29F, 5’0”, around 190 lbs, and I have been diagnosed with PCOS.
I’ve been struggling with weight loss for the last 2–3 years despite trying to make lifestyle changes, and my doctor recently suggested trying Zepbound.

I called Cigna's Express Scripts, and they said it might be covered if my doctor submits a prior authorization with detailed reasoning for why I need it because it is indeed covered for diabetes but not for weight loss I’m a little confused about the process though.

Do I ask my doctor to prescribe it first and then wait to see if the prior authorization gets approved? Or is there another step I should take before that? Just trying to understand how this usually works and whether people have had success getting it approved for PCOS/weight management.

Would appreciate any advice or experiences.

I become sweaty and exhausted from ANY activity or heat.

I'm actually enjoying my glp-1, but now, whenever I walk a moderate distance or expend energy exercise, my heart rate shoots up to 155 and my face begins to sweat like a fountain. Not my pits, just my face and scalp. It's gross.

Anyone else have this? Any suggestions?

If you had to recommend one cash pay compounded GLP-1 provider to someone starting fresh in 2026, who would it be and why?

Not asking for referral links, just genuine recommendations. The landscape has changed a lot in the past year with the FDA situation, pharmacy switches, providers coming and going. Curious who people would actually recommend to someone starting from scratch right now.

And just as useful, who would you steer them away from and why?

Dosing up

Hi all,
I’m on compounded Tirz and my last 5mg shot was last week. Today is injection day but I didn’t lose anything from last week til today. I’m wondering if I should remain on 5mg or go ahead and dose up to 7.5mg? My appetite seems to be suppressed well during the first 5 days, the last 2 days (like today) my food noise comes back.

For reference, I usually lose about 4-5 lbs a week usually. I’m down 25lbs since March 23rd

Any suggestions?

Max dose tirz?

What's the maximum dosage of tirz available in your country?

I'm in the central EU, and the max dose in a pen is 15mg.

I take 15 and my weight loss is slow, if present at all.

What’s your actual intake?

I’ll preface this by saying I’m new to GLP-1s and am still learning all the things. I have not started a GLP-1 yet, as I am very anxious about it. I am still researching and trying to settle on what is best for me.

One of my biggest questions is: how much are you actually eating a day? What are eating? When are eating? How does it differ from pre-GLP-1?

For reference, I’m a 35F, 250lbs, 5’5”, have PCOS, and trying to maintain a calorie deficit diet (1800-1900) but actual calories are in the 2200-2400/day range. I have always struggled with overeating and sticking with a diet. I already have trouble with not feeling hungry but eating anyway, even though I know I probably shouldn’t. I do not struggle to get protein currently.

Dose way too high

So I was on tirzepitide for almost a year then stopped in January to give myself a break. I decided to start GLP-1 again but switched to Sema. However I ordered thru the same company and didn’t notice they started me on the equivalent dose of the tirz I had been taking. And of course the doses are nowhere near similar so I didn’t even realize it before I took it.

Anyway, short story long, I started off today with a .25 sema dose after being off all meds for 4 months. I just want to know what type of misery I should expect this week?

GLP-1 RAs may independently boost testosterone levels

May 18, 2026

Patients treated with a GLP-1 receptor agonist for weight loss showed a significant increase in both total testosterone (TT) and free testosterone (FT), according to new data presented at the American Urological Association (AUA) 2026 Annual Meeting.

For people using telehealth for peptides or GLP-1, which provider actually explains what you're paying for?

Coming from a nootropics background i'm used to doing research before putting anything in my body. The telehealth GLP-1 space feels weirdly opaque by comparison. Lots of lifestyle branding, not a lot of actual system explanation.

Curious which providers people here have found that actually break down the stack. Like what pharmacy, what's in the vial, what the margins look like, why the price is what it is. Not looking for the cheapest option necessarily, just the most honest one.

Have people found meaningful differences between Lavender Sky, Ro Body, Fifty410, Mochi or others in terms of actual transparency?
