going from 5 mg to 7.5 (mounjaro)

Hi, I’ve been on mounjaro for 8 months, and went from 2.5 to 5 mg and stayed on it for most part. I’ve lost 25+ kgs and been satisfied by the results. But recently the food noise is back and im finding it hard to avoid overeating and binging.

so im deciding on dosing up since I don’t want to white knuckle through the hunger when im already paying for the medication.

I wanted to ask how the switch from 5 mg to 7.5 mg is. I never had side effects on 5 mg so im a bit scared of getting side effects. Also is there anything I should know before dosing up?

Can i increase my dose before 1 week

So I’ve been on mounjaro 5 mg for the past 7 months and I’ve lost 25 kgs with it. But now my food noise is back LOUD and I’ve binged every day of the past week and gained 5 kgs in the last 10 days. I’m going through a period of stress and the binge eating and food noise is horrible.

Yesterday i took my 5 mg dose but i ended up binging yesterday and today. I’m so miserable because the months i spent to lose that 5 kgs is being destroyed in few days. So i want to dose up ASAPPPPP

so is it possible to dose up to 7.5 mg soon? Or how long should i wait? im miserable af and i need the food noise and binge eating to stop taking up sm of my mental space because i have other stuff to worry about. Pls help. If i can dose up to 7.5 before one week period?

The dreaded stall

Hello everyone, I started mounjaro on October 2025 and had a smooth sailing till may 2026. Sw: 126 kg, cw: 87 kg. I’ve made a lot of lifestyle changes along the way, I eat only whole foods, walk 20k steps, weigh all my food etc. also i recalculate my tdee and adjust my deficit accordingly. So im confident that im in a true deficit accordingly to all the data. But despite being in a deficit, I’ve been stalled since the first week of may.

Also for some context, I’ve been on 5 mg since the second month to this day. Does it make sense for me to dose up if I’m still staying in a deficit and all my labs value are in normal range? I’m not eating any sneaky calories or reducing exercise as far as I know. So does a plateu mean I need to dose up? Or could it be water retention and should I wait it out

If you’re using glp for weight loss…

If you’re using glp mainly for weight loss and not strictly tracking your calories, eating healthy, moving a little, you’re wasting your money and precious time. Yes you’ll eventually get results, but the fact is cico is the ultimate truth, and this miraculous drug helps you to stick to a healthy diet. so if you’re gonna eat without sticking strictly to a healthy diet, you’re the one losing out. No one cares about excuses, if you’re fat and wanna lose the weight, then instead of crying about stalls and blaming on the medicine, do some self reflection and hold yourself accountable for your diet and lack of movement.

All these people keep blaming their metabolism, hormones, this drug, and everything except themselves. Especially if you’re young and your body is able to handle the diet and exercise, then there’s no excuse.
