What are your side effects like?

Hello all!

I've been on Ozempic for about 2 months now, and have lost 12 lbs! I'm very happy, but I am curious what kind of side effects others are experiencing and how they are dealing with it?

Started at .25mg for 4 weeks, and now .5mg for another 4 weeks, and here are my experiences:

-First couple weeks were hard for me, I actually threw up when I ate too much poutine, which I never do. I woke up hours later actually to puke which is very weird for me.

-I had extreme fatigue for the first 4 weeks, and I do think the fatigue is still there but more, every so often instead of almost daily.

-I crave bland foods, pierogies, cottage cheese, kraft dinner. Easy to make, easy to eat. Crave isn't the right word because I'm not excited to eat, it's just what I feel like I can handle. I used to eat so many fruits and vegetables and smoothies and now I am kind of always a little nauseous and I tend to prefer easy meals.

-The worst side effect, because of the above, is I have lost all desire to cook. I used to plan the meals out for the week, with tons of variety. Eggs, leafy greens, smoothies, tomatoes, tofu, all the vegetables. Now I just have a cup of cottage cheese and a protein shake and call it a meal. My poor partner has had to adjust. I don't even like being in the kitchen.

There are good side effects of course. I have lost weight at a good pace, and I have no desire to drink anymore either. Just curious how others are faring, and if I have a hope of regaining an interest in vegetables?

Did we over train her with the e-collar

I have this little terror from Mexico. She wasn't from a rescue, just a friend heard about this tied up dog while she was down there and beaten dog and brought her home.

I wasn't going to take her, I already have a reactive dog, but she did well with him and she is really cute, and seemed pretty timid at first.

I'm happy to say when she came out of her shell, she was a new dog, and by new dog I mean, she barked non stop at everything, pulled on the leash, howling, flight risk. I was happy that she was feeling more confident, and she is an immensely silly and entertaining dog, but she just wouldn't respond unless she wanted to. Everything we did with my other dog just would not work on her. She knew her recall but wouldn't listen unless it suited her. She would get into bark loops at the fence edge and would not stop unless you physically walked over and picked her up. As soon as you got to her she would flip over on her back and/or pee herself (she did stop peeing herself eventually). The neighbour has a dog that my other dog lost interest in long ago but for Koko every time she saw him it was totally unhinged at the fence losing her mind. We talked to a trainer and she was kinda like, yeah those street dogs... They self select for survival, you can't really expect them to be like normal dogs(?)

So we were a little at our wits end and bought an e-collar, and we used, literally, the vibration setting once, and the beep about maybe 5 times? I used vibrate when she was in a bark loop at the gate and she yelped, ran inside, and hid for about 24 hours and peed herself. Ive used the beep sound now a few times for similar reasons and she once again would run directly under something and cower for awhile.

However, she is like a different dog. We started using it two weeks ago and she pretty much responds to her recall now, even going outside without the collar on, she behaves. She barks at most, once. She is way better on walks. We can now walk past other people and dogs. We walked past a turkey today, that used to make her go feral, suddenly it's not a big deal.

It's not that I'm not happy with the changes, it's such a relief but also, I'm kind of worried about... How quickly she changed? And she is more likely to hide in her den now, though she still does cuddle, and she still has silly moments, not as much.

Did I... Re-traumitize her? I legit don't want her behaviour to change she is like a perfect little angel now but it seemed too easy. And I never even used the shock function and I never will.
