Hey guys, just did my front brake pads on my 2012 Honda CRV. Just curious why now when I’m in park and I depress the brakes, what seems like a click comes out from under my shifter? I’ve read that it’s caused by the shift interlock solenoid. Why is it just now making noise? I have never heard that sound before, and no, it’s not just because I was paying extra attention to sounds this time, it genuinely has not ever done that in the 40k miles I’ve owned it. Is there any way to make the sound go away, or does it really matter? Just curious how doing my pads somehow correlates to it now making noise?
