Insomnia... how to deal with it?

I'm on 60mg and it's been really helpful but unfortunately my insomnia has worsened significantly. I've relied on promethazine to sleep for years, and it was no longer effective once I increased my stratterra dose. Since I've tried melatonin and clonidine with little luck.

I'm waiting on a script on dayvigo (lemborexant), so I'm hopeful. Part of me wonders if I should reduce my dose to 40mg and see if that helps.

Thoughts or advice?

Switching from promethazine to Dayvigo (lemborexant)

I've been on promethazine for at least 5 years and it's mostly worked well. It lost effectiveness as I took a higher dose while travelling, then when I went back to my original dose it didn't work anymore.

I then read about the dementia risks so decided to come off it. Withdrawal was pretty awful and my insomnia got much worse.

Since then I've tried melatonin and clonidine which help me get to sleep but I wake in the middle of the night.

My next option is to try Dayvigo (lemborexant), which I'm scared about due to what I've read about sleep paralysis. Has anyone else had any success with it, or also switched from promethazine? How does it compare?

TIA

Any one else struggle with this?

I'm 40% of the way through and it's making me feel SO YUCK. I really loved her memoir but I don't understand why it's so graphic!?

Does it all make sense in the end or should I give up now?

Anyone also on clonidine?

Hello! I'm on 65mg atomoxetine (40mg first thing, 25mg mid morning) and it's been great. Unfortunately I've become a very light sleeper, which was already an issue. When I last spoke to my dr, he mentioned we could try clonidine for sleep.

I'm wondering if anyone has had success with atomoxetine + clonidine combo? I've tried melatonin, magnesium, and promethazine but only get temporary relief. I've also tried all sorts of environmental changes and the only thing that works is sleeping alone (which I can't do all the time).

TIA!

Does anyone take amgevita weekly?

I've been having some break through pain and inflammation, so my rheumatologist said we could try weekly amgevita instead. I'm worried about increased side effects like increased fatigue ans infections.

The other option is infliximab infusions, which seems kinda scary.

Advice or experiences appreciated!

I increased from 50mg to 75mg a week ago and I'm feeling very tearful, low mood and just generally down. Is this common after an increase and how long does it last? I don't have a follow up appointment for 3 weeks and I'm worried the dose is too high for me. This didn't happen when I increased from 25mg to 50mg.

Hey! My first question is what people noticed between the increase from 50mg to 75mg (or 60 to 80)? 50mg has been great for my emotional regulation and task initiation but I haven't noticed an improvement with focus and distractability. Hoping that I might with this increase.

Secondly, I'm curious about experiences with combining with a stimulant. I recently trialed a combo with concerta but it didn't work out as I was moody and irritable. My dr has also said I can try 5 - 10mg dexamphetamine if I want to.

Obviously I won't make both changes at the same time but I am trying to decide which option to fo with first. Experiences welcome 🙏
