I have never watched the show before but I've seen some clips and I wanna start it badly but I just wanted to ask something.

Is Spike and Angel a thing? Because they have so much chemistry and tension with each other, sometimes even more than they do with Buffy.

Edit: Did I ask something wrong why am I getting downvoted? Sorry I have no clue I was just so curious about the duo😭

Your favourite songs from the TVD soundtrack?

the only thing about TVD that the writers couldn't ruin was the soundtrack quality.

it was at it's peak from s1-s8😭🔥

(these are my fav)

Unpopular opinion (or not idk): Damon and Elena should've stayed vampires. Human lives would be so bland for them.

How post s3 Delena could've been awesome as fuck:

Hear me out. I know Elena wanted to be human after seeing Jo pregnant. But we already have Rebekah and Stefan as representatives of humanity seeking vampires.

Even though Elena struggled with vampirism at first, she genuinely seemed to be in control of everything and honestly pretty fun after her depressing past.

Instead of putting the SIREBOND shit, they should've used the opportunity of her vampirism as the reason to how Stelena faded away.

Make her single and give her the agency.

Then Damon helpa her adjust to vampirism and them having fun together like they usually do and her choosing him naturally without the sirebond ( Honestly could've in s3 but yeah doesn't matter)

Her actually liking vampirism without making her a lame ass vampire, let it make her stronger and more confident and less suicidal(Honestly kept forgetting she even was one during my s4-s6 watch).

And get rid of the awful fights between them in s5 and let them be what they were once. Let the couple have a bit of peace because the Augustine killing arc was for no fucking reason. They were an awesome dynamic without the forced toxicity anyway.

Don't make her compel away their memories. Rest can go the same way. (Cure should exist to save Stefan from his vampire misery and Delena decides to give the cure to Stefan)

(Honestly would change a lot more plots but that's not the topic and have to keep the canon intact so I can't change the important storylines)

IMAGINE DELENA AS THIS AWESOME VAMPIRE COUPLE TRAVELLING AROUND THE WORLD.

Imagine the ending after their reunion when they just whoosh into eachothers arms without the crap we got?? It would suit Delena more than a bland ass human life. Damon was the one who made her fun and carefree anyway(s1-s3).

Let Elena suggest they adopt a kid!! it would be sooo adorable and also shows the good in Elena even when she's a vampire. Let them be the icons they are ;)

(also Elena remaining vampire would also give Caroline company because wdym both her bestfriends die while she remains 17?)

So according to the show, flipping your switch means that you lose all your human emotions and the vampires use it to not feel and deal with those emotions.

But they don't address the fact that humans have so many underlying emotions beneath happy, sad and angry.

The characters are all shown to be sarcastic and mean to everyone. They are shown to "not care" about anything. In reality, not caring is apathy. Turning off the switch still makes them do horrible actions and hurt other people. They are shown to have fun at parties or raves. But if you lose your ability to feel emotions, how do you feel happy or fun or anything?

They misrepresented it as losing your negative, sad emotions, only. Not caring about bad stuff happening is not the same as actually flipping the switch in my opinion.

Imo, they should be perfectly monotonous. Because they have no emotion, they are literally a blood bag with the urge to survive(idk if that counts as an emotion.). They aren't supposed to say mean things they wouldn't say with the switch on, or be sarcastic humourous party people. It would be accurate if yhey showed no emotion, like kept a 😐 face and kills and eats people when they're hungry.

The only emotion they don't really show is sadness and vulnerability and guilt.

Maybe they defined it wrong but the way it was shown didn't match the way it was defined.

Probably one of the only episodes in the later seasons which hit too close to home. I knew Liz was dying but I did not think I would cry this much. loved the convo between Liz and Damon and broke down when Caroline came in.
Losing a parent to cancer is one of the worst things that you can experience and I am glad I was young enough in case of my dad to not carry the weight of it.
I never felt this emotional for any of the supernatural deaths here, but this felt real, especially having a complicated relationship with my mom, seeing the flashbacks of Caroline and Liz hit me like a truck. Absolutely beautiful and devastating episode in my opinion. Its how even the supernatural beings accept that not everything has a cheat code and how they all feel for her death more than anyone's.

(ep 15 included)

People liking certain characters does not define them as a person.
Its a fictional show about blood sucking creatures who kinda live in their own world. And that is why I like the show. If the characters don't do controversial actions and remain good "people" it kinda defeats the whole purpose of the show.
The evil and bad characters are loved because they are given personalities of their own. I am sure none of the audience would tolerate a single character from the show irl.
You have the rights to choose your fav or most disliked character but you hating on certain characters does not make you a better person than the people who like that character. You know who I am talking about.

And don't get me started with the ship wars, especially Delena vs Stelena. It is getting soooo old.
Let people ship whoever the hell they want.

I have seen people get so toxic and personally attack people who like certain ships here and claiming how the actors don't like the ship so its invalid.
Nobody cares what the actors think. It is such a subjective topic because you can decide your own likes and dislikes.
Like idc if X hates Y ship or A hates B ship. They did their job on the show and acted well, I liked the connection, they prolly didn't, that is alr. They are just actors who portrayed the characters and nothing more.

The show has so many great relationships and connections other than romantic ships

Criticizing a character or ship for their behavior is okay, but you don't have to like the so called "moral" characters or dislike the "evil" characters for your opinion to be valid.
Each and every character has done some evil shit in the show. Some more than others in different ways. That is what gives the show the story. So feel free to love whoever you want. And stop judging others for their preferences:)
