Tappet noise from engine while Idling in Neutral

Hi guys, I need your help in recognising whether this amount of noise is normal. The bike is 28 days old and soon will be heading for its first service.

Also I had an additional doubt whenever I give raise there is some sound coming from front chain sprocket which sound a bit like a screech(eeee sound) and as soon as I release the throttle it goes away, can you guys tell me what it is.

FYI

  1. chain was slacked , so I got it adjusted to spec within 30 mm of chain play as per manual

  2. i recently cleaned and lubed the chain.

New Honda H'ness CB350 owner — is my chain slack normal at 120 km?

Hey everyone, just picked up my H'ness CB350 on 8th May and I'm loving it so far. Currently at 120 km and still in the break-in period.

I noticed my chain feels a bit loose — when I push it upward there's some movement, but when I try to pull it downward it barely moves. Bike is on the center stand when I checked.

A few questions:

  1. Is some chain slack normal this early in the break-in period and does it look normal on my bike?

  2. What's the correct way to measure slack on the H'ness — sidestand or centrestand?

  3. Should I get it adjusted at BigWing now or wait for the first service?

  4. Can riding with slightly loose chain cause any damage?

Would love to hear from fellow H'ness owners. Thanks!

Finally brought home my H’ness CB350 — thank you to this community 🙏

Sorry guys I had to delete my previous post. I was not able to figure out how to attach images.

Today I finally brought home my new Honda Hness CB350 and I genuinely wanted to thank this community.

Over the past few weeks/months, I’ve probably searched this sub for everything possible — riding tips, engine braking, crash guards, fuel, break-in period, cleaning, clutch control, traffic riding, spiral ramps, literally everything 😅

As someone still relatively new to biking, this community honestly helped reduce a lot of anxiety and confusion. Reading real owner experiences helped way more than random YouTube videos.

The ride back home from the showroom itself felt special. Bike got dusty within minutes thanks to Hyderabad roads 😂 but still couldn’t stop staring at it after parking.

Moving forward, what are the biggest things I should be careful about as a new H’ness owner?

Especially regarding:

Break-in/running-in habits

Engine heat in traffic

Chain maintenance

Long-term engine care

Riding habits that beginners commonly mess up

Things you wish you knew earlier

Service center advice / what to avoid

Would love to hear practical advice from experienced owners.

And again, thank you everyone for helping a beginner out, it's all because of you guys🙌.
