New headphones!!

New headphones!!

Got a cheap pair of USB-C over ear headphones. Took them apart so I just had the earphones themselves. 3D printed a 19mmx19mmx12mm cube with a hole in the center. Glued that to the inside so I could press a heated thread insert in (took the one out of the original headphones). Took the screws out of the back of the headset to run the little wire between decide, and she's ready to go.

When I get another wild hair I'll cut the cable and shorten it so I don't have to wrap it around the headband, but for now it works just fine

Boise-ish Idaho here

I've tried ortho weed killer, 2, 4-D, and XLR8(crabgrass killer, it was recommended)

And these stupid things keep coming back.

I lived in my house for about 12 years, never really had an issue with them. I had an old tree cut down, I let it rot for a couple years then I dug about a 6-ft circle around the stump and cut out a bunch of the big roots. I put that same dirt I dug up back in the hole, and now I've got a ton of those things popping up.

Every week I go out with my little hand shovel, and I dig up a bunch of them, I try to loosen the dirt around them so I can get the entire route that usually goes 6" down or more, but It seems like for everyone I dig up, three more pop up somewhere in the yard.

Is there something I can do to kill these things without killing my grass, or do it basically just have to continue digging them up?

I am unbelievably disappointed with the audio strap that you can purchase. It's comfortable, but the headphones they use are like something off of a 1980s Walkman. Those stupid foam pads pop off constantly, in the little ball and socket connection they use to hold the earphones to the little arm pop off if you're not super delicate with them.

BSB is exchanging mine, but I'm curious if anybody has any recommendations or modifications to keep that from happening again. Thinking maybe a little bit of heat shrink over the ball and socket so when that is heated up it kind of holds that tighter maybe? And then for those little foam ear pads, should I just put a dab of super glue and a couple spots?
